Meet Laura Kozelouzek of Quest Workspaces

Today we’d like to introduce you to Laura Kozelouzek.

Laura is a recognized veteran and visionary of the serviced office space and co-working industry for over 20 years.

She is an innovator, business builder and well respected for her ability to create “high energy” results oriented co-working cultures.

In July 2010, she created Quest Workspaces, and currently operates 9 locations, 8 in South Florida and 1 in New York City representing over 3,000 clients and 360,000 SF. In 6 years, Quest has become a leading brand, featured in 47 publications including; Wall Street Journal, CBS News, Fortune Magazine and New York Times.

Prior to Quest Workspaces, in 2004 she founded Synergy Workplaces, growing the company to 25 national locations, and over 25 million in sales. In 2008, Synergy was sold to Carr Workplaces.

Before Synergy, she spent 19 years in the commercial real estate and hospitality industries. During that time, as an executive at HQ/Regus, she was responsible for its most profitable region, representing 80 locations, 5,000 customers and generated $180 million in annual sales. While at HQ, she played a lead role in an industry “roll up” and consolidating the sector.

As a serial entrepreneur she has owned a trendy NYC restaurant, launched a NYC real estate newspaper, brokerage business, and is a recipient of dozens of leadership, service and real estate awards. She graduated from the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration and is a member of the President’s Council of Cornell Women.

She plays a very active role in the workspaces community. She is currently the Treasurer of the Global Workspace Association, an Advisory Board Member of WANY, All Good Workspace and HeraHub, a member of INBIA and a recent speaker at GCUC in 2016.

Has it been a smooth road?
We have had to adapt along the way. I don’t see that as struggles but more as opportunities to improve the customer experience and the services we offer. Workplace is changing so rapidly, as so many industries are and in order to remain a leader we must be open to change and stay connected to our customers.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Quest Workspaces story. Tell us more about the business.
All of us at Quest Workspaces get to come to work every day to do what we love, which is helping our Questers do what they love. Which means helping some of the largest companies in the world to some to the smallest start-ups. Working side by side with them ensuring their success and making a difference in their companies. We do this by providing limitless support and services, through our flexible, upscale, technologically equipped workspace. But most importantly our Questers become part of our unique community of seasoned entrepreneurs where they can connect, collaborate and grow their companies. Witnessing this ecosystem in action, our team helping our Questers and our Questers helping each other, where everyone is growing and thriving is what I’m most proud about and what sets us apart.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
This is an exciting time in our industry because workspace is finally being seen as a service. The end result is better designed space with the end user in mind, incorporating amenities, and various ways to work that supports the work that must be done. (collaborative space, team rooms, chat rooms, etc)

Technology will continue to advance the evolution of space and workers will be able to work where they wish, and continue to have more choices.

The lines between work, play and home will continue be blurred and the spaces will become multifunctional.

  • Meeting Room rentals start at $25 per hour
