Today, we’d like to introduce you to Laura Andors. Laura was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented Devin Burke.
Hi Laura, we’re so thrilled to have you sharing your story with us today. Maybe we can kick things off by having you introduce yourself to our readers? We’d love to have you go into your story and how you got to where you are today.
When I first volunteered at the age of 6, I felt how fulfilling it is to serve and be a light to others. Throughout adolescence I continued to volunteer and serve on mission trips. There was nothing I loved more helping others. It wasn’t until my early 20s when I uncovered with my life coach why I was always so drawn to being a light and serving others. They are my life’s purpose.
In 2015 I had a strong urge to change my life to a healthier way of living. I did not know the outcome I wanted, but I had a sense that it was the right thing to do. It took dedication, tons of research, and much trial and error, but my results surprised me. With my healthier choices came better sleep, and a major decrease in my chronic headaches and migraines, depression, anxiety, digestive issues, and overall stress.
Excited about my success, I decided to combine two of my passions: helping others and health and wellness, and got certified as an integrative nutrition health coach. I decided to specialize in holistic lifestyle change for stress relief because it is a topic dear to my heart as a mom of three young kids. I also believe that stress is dangerously underestimated in the ways it can affect our physical health. In April 2021 I began working for Sleep Science Academy as a sleep coach because stress and sleep are greatly integrated. Working alongside others with the same mission has been incredible.
Let’s talk about your work and career – what else should we know?
At Sleep Science Academy we believe that sleep is not the problem, it is a result. Insomnia is the result of other areas of life being out of balance, which is why we take a holistic approach to treatment. We also recognize that everyone’s situation is individual and needs to be treated that way. We combine many of the best strategies and techniques creating the world’s most comprehensive sleep program. I love seeing clients showing up for themselves and making mindset and lifestyle shifts to gain lasting results. When people go through the program, they get results for more than their insomnia— their lives are improved as a whole.
So, as we mentioned to our audience earlier, you were introduced to us by Devin Burke and Sleep Science Academy and we really admire them and what they’ve built. For folks who might not be as familiar, can you tell them a bit about your experience with Sleep Science Academy.
I have grown tremendously as an individual and a coach since working for Sleep Science Academy. Working alongside others on the same mission provides amazing community. The accountability to continually reflect and grow has been such a benefit for me. I could not have imagined a better, healthier work environment. It has been a pleasure to work for Devin. He genuinely cares for the well-being of his employees and encourages us to grow while keeping the energy lighthearted. He is always learning and improving which sets a wonderful example and provides great results for his clients. One thing I love about being a sleep coach with SSA is the close-knit community with the coaches. I love being able to reach out for suggestions or to celebrate client success with them. Our mission is the same— to give those suffering from insomnia the tools and support they need to start sleeping as quickly as possible. We are always working together.
