Meet Eric Siversen of Center Link Media in Coral Springs

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eric Siversen.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
This business was started almost 6 years ago as a Daily Deal website. We were selling coupon deals for restaurants and spas. Within about a year we started sharing our deals with other deal websites and started to make a commission off of their sales, but our reach was only for the South Florida region. We then started moving into national offers and products so that we could share these offers with deal websites in other states as well and increase our reach. Since then we have just innovated into where we are today which is a full-service drop shipping and fulfillment warehouse operation. We have an office in China and our main location here in South Florida. We just built out a new state of the art facility that provides us the space and layout to perform at maximum capacity and will allow us to keep growing.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It is never a smooth road. We have had multiple websites go out of business or file for bankruptcy with large balances. We have had all kinds of growing pains from having to get 7-8 full-size storage units to store goods at. We have had issues with different software printing thousand of duplicate labels, and countless other challenges that we have overcome and that’s what makes us stronger today.

Please tell us about Center Link Media.
One thing our clients have always complimented us for is that we hold a large variety of items crossing into almost every category. We are always searching for the latest and hottest trends of items we can sell. Whether it’s women apparel, new gadgets for the house, or even fidget spinners. We find what items are trending and try to be the first to market with them.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
South Florida has a port in Miami which is a great benefit for when we are bringing in containers and can have them quickly delivered. The alternative is shipping goods cross country from California. However, there are disadvantages on shipping costs to deliver goods from South Florida to the rest of the states as compared to being a central state like Kentucky. All the major warehouse including Amazon, Zappos, and the main shipping hubs like UPS, DHL , and Fedex are all centrally located to give the quickest shipping times possible. So being in South Florida could potentially add a day or so if the package ships cross country.
