Melisa’s idea for the “Lux Lifestyle Events” started while running her empire company The New York Fame which produces fashion week events in NY during NY Fashion Week for top designers around the world, such as Bravo TV’s The Fashion Show, Season 1 finalist Reco Chapple, Korto Momolu winner of the 5th season of Bravo’s hit show Project Runway, and Stevie Boi whose designs have been worn by the likes of Lady GaGa, Teyanna Taylor, Lisa Raye, Meagan Good, Michelle Rodriguez, Rosa Acosta, Dawn Richards, & Eva Marcille to name a few.

She is a stellar event & production manager that goes beyond her corporate script.

Brown vision of style takes inspiration from the neoclassical concept of “perfect beauty” as a result of equilibrium. The organization of a sophisticated event requires a balanced mix of details, elements and style. I’ll make it my challenge to offer a higher level of personalization by attending to my client’s wishes, ideas and passions! Equilibrium results from the combination of your wishes, the beauty and elegance of your venue and my touch!

This was the inspiration that birthed “Lux Lifestyle Events”. Brown’s innovativeness put her at the forefront of a powerhouse brand. Lux Lifestyle Events is the foundation to the next frontier of the Wedding & Special Events industry. Brown moved to South Florida back in 2016 to expand on her brand as an innovative wedding and event planner.

Brown gladly assists her clients with all aspects of the planning process from start to finish. She is extremely detail-oriented, stylish, organized, and most of all creative. Brown focuses on her client’s dreams in order to ensure the entire experience is as unique as they are.

She works very closely with her clients in order to create an event that will be suitable for her client’s personality and lifestyles. Brown ideas and expertise create the perfect atmosphere for their occasion. Lux Lifestyle Events works with several well-known vendors to ensure the best quality and perfection during their events.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Planning, coordinating and managing can be extremely distressing. A positive attitude and empathy are the invaluable assets which allow me to reassure even the most apprehensive bride! As an event planner, I work with a lot of diverse clients in order to meet the needs of my clientele.

One needs to be patient, passionate and have the ability to truly listen to your client’s needs and wants in order to successfully accomplish their vision. Having a large list of Multicultural companies allows us to not only be on the forefront of supporting diverse brands but also allow us the ability to offer different services and pricing to clients.

We have over 16 years of event planning experience under our belt. can we say it started out great! No. In the beginning, we lost, we learned, we gain and grown from our past experiences. To be successful in this industry or in life, you have to lose some to gain some. Those life experiences made me the woman I am today.

Since 2005 Lux Lifestyle Events has been in the business of offering a range of event planning services from full event planning, which range from wedding planning, corporate events, Engagement parties, Destination wedding and more. How do you think about luck?
It’s been a year since the heightened awareness of social media and the pandemic. We would not call this luck but we are very excited about the recent increase in social awareness and its effects on diverse businesses in the wedding and event planning industry. This awareness has put us on a more national platform. We have seen our own culture now supporting our business now more than ever… People are now buying into black own businesses. The awareness has increased by celebrities & the media acknowledgment of the importance of diverse products and services and sharing those business with the public. Our social media platform and referral base has increased tremendously and the quality of our services creates more leads.
