Conversations with Sidney Auguste

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sidney Auguste.

Hi Sidney, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My name is Sidney Auguste. I’m Haitian american and with all honesty i had it good growing up my parents were married over 30 years and still married till this day. i would say in this thing call life i made it hard on myself cause i wasn’t so understanding and i didn’t know how life work , my parents tried to explain but as a Jit (child) growing up i always thought zoe man / zoe lady (Haitian Parents) don’t know nothing but as i got older and started to listen that’s when i started to understand. I played football all my-life and had ups and down but once I understood it, it was go time. even went to school for football paid for but again just not understanding and thinking i know it all but as i got older i understand! At this point I wanted to do something, something that makes sense. growing up i was always funny so i thought why not be a comedian but as i started i just didn’t have the passion for it. I remember watching interviews on youtube. a guy named VladTv and I would watch it from start to finish. It gave so much information on people i follow that i didn’t know so much about it gave me so much insight. I then said to myself nobody in Miami has this platform why not start 1 and that’s what i did. I created SidboTv and I would interview Miami artists, Comedians, pornstars, or anybody doing something good in miami. started good but as time went on i had a son which i’m oh so ever grateful for and as i started to do the interview some people would flake,(meaning never show up) come late, would talk about 1 thing off camera then when we start rolling don’t have the same energy. It was really fun and I love getting to know them as a person and what inspired them to become who they are and what they do. I think I did 20 artists, I’m not sure but once i saw how time consuming it was i said to myself this is not it. So I stopped doing interviews, went ghost on all social platforms, got my money situation right, got my life right, continued being a great dad to my jr and thought about my next plan. I stay on youtube all the time. i have mentors on youtube i learn how to fix things on youtube i watch youtube all day. so i told myself why not be a youtuber i just have to find a lane i’m passionate about and then it hit me i just turn the camera on and started vlogging and i love vlogging it’s on my time i enjoy vlogging with my son, my guys, my family, and my shorty and again it’s on my time! i been consist dropping videos every other week now i’m going to start dropping every week and it’s only a matter of time before the world knows SidBotv

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not a smooth road at all but it could of been but i just didn’t see it, i just didn’t get it and now as a father my job is to help my son get it so he don’t have to take the long way to understand it cause some people took the long way and never come back the same or never come back at all i just thank God my parents never stop praying for me

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a youtuber a content creator so i really have to use my brain and come up with some good new exciting content that people wanna see it’s definitely a challenge but that’s a challenge i’m willing to except

I’m known for a lot of things good or bad but what sets me apart is that i learn from my mistakes and i’m not afraid of work i love the grind i love seeing how everything comes together

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
Yes, it has. I would say this. get your money right! adults make a plan and stick to it, children do what feels good. Once your money is right you can move in ways people can’t understand.
