Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Le.
Michael, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
I was always bullied as a child due to my looks and was pretty unpopular throughout my early school years. I found dance at age 12 and from the first classes I took, I fell in love. Dance gave me a community of positive people and inspirational stories of people doing what they love as a career. I continued and never stopped after the first class. A few years later, I was now considered a professional dancer, dancing in many music videos for artists such as Chris Brown, Daddy Yankee, Fabolous, Nicky Jam, and many more! I started to then post dance videos onto social media and network with many big pages to repost my videos! Immediately my followers shot up, and from there, I learned how big and important social media was actually becoming! Being able to post a video and have hundreds of thousands of people be able to enjoy on their phone was unbelievable, and I fell in love with creating even more. I’ve been able to work with huge brand names now such as FashionNova and Journeys as well! Fast forward to now, and I’m still doing everything I’ve done in the past but just more consistently and just enjoying every moment of it!
Can you give our readers some background on your art?
I am my own art. I create tons of content, the majority being dance videos whether it be in my own house, in a classroom, or a full-on concept video! But also doing videos that show my personality and happy-goofy self. Being able to create content that moves another person in any way gives me a feeling nothing else does. I want anyone who sees me and my content to see how amazing it can be to follow your own dreams and not live by the status quo of getting a job you hate just for money. I want people to know that life is short and not worth wasting the majority of it just working. I would rather struggle financially but be fulfilled in my heart doing what I love than to have the opposite. The main thing I want everyone to know when they watch me is that I’m happy what I’m doing and so far it’s been working out for me, so hopefully they can take my story and path as inspiration and start their own if they haven’t already.
How do you think about success, as an artist, and what do quality do you feel is most helpful?
I define success based on fulfillment in oneself. I believe that if you are doing what you love, and you’re happy with where you are in life, you are successful. Qualities I feel is essential for artists to be successful is being self-driven to continuously grow, having thick skin and knowing that there will be nay-sayers and not allowing negativity to get to them, and to be care-free, meaning to enjoy the process and to have fun with what they are doing.
What’s the best way for someone to check out your work and provide support?
You can see my work on all of my social medias!
Supporting by just liking and leaving a comment on what you thing about anything is enough for me!
