Today we’d like to introduce you to Dafne Evangelista.
Hi Dafne, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My talent and passion for the beauty world was founded in Brazil and inspired by my mother and hairstylist, Marta Evangelista. I took my love for hair & beauty to Miami in 2009 and created a brand through my hard work which eventually led me to work with international celebrities and influencers. Some of these include Candice Swanepoel, Camila Coelho, Thalia, Camila Cabello, Elle McPherson and more. In my years working in the industry, I have also partnered with luxury brands.
My passion for creativity and excellence extends past my career. I aspire to be a voice for a more sustainable planet and consider myself an advocate for women in business. I am a trendsetter and strive to create inspiring and original work. As a creative at heart and a lover of self-expression, I am inspired to push the boundaries in the beauty and fashion industry and look forward to sharing with the world all that’s to come.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Having come from Brazil and breaking into the beauty industry in Miami came with many challenges. It took a lot of perseverance and hard work to learn a new language, a new culture and establish relationships in a city where I didn’t know anyone. However, I’ve always made sure no matter the obstacle I had to overcome that, I lead with my personality and positivity.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My love for all things beauty has lead me to work in everything from cut, style and even makeup. However, my specialty lies with color. As a color specialist, I’ve always been passionate about what we can create through mixture. As a young girl, I remember being fascinated with how my mother used to mix different products and colors to achieve a look that her clients loved.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I fell in love with Miami from the moment I arrived. The city has so much to offer from a lifestyle standpoint. Waking up to beautiful warm weather and an ocean breeze gives me the positive energy I need to start my day. I’ll always be grateful for the opportunities that Miami has offered me. While I could do without the traffic like most Miami natives, I wouldn’t trade this city for the world.
