Life and Work with Ana La Bella

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ana La Bella.

Ana began her career 38 years ago in Miami, FL. Her creative talent and enduring desire to continually expand her knowledge and experience brought her to Baton Rouge, Louisiana from 1980 to 1985. Ana then moved to NYC where she worked for the first Aveda Salon. Soon after, Ana went to work for Scott J. Salon for ten years on the Upper-West Side in Manhattan. In 1996, Ana returned to Miami, FL where she worked for Salon Aruj, an Aveda hair salon in Coconut Grove. In 2004, la bella salon opened its doors in Coral Gables, FL where she’s been delivering an exceptional customer salon experience for over thirteen years. Today, Ana continues to service her long-time clientele and dedicates the rest of her time on the growth of her employees, with a strong focus on hospitality to achieve the best customer service experience in the salon industry.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I do not believe there is a smooth road no matter which way you take. However, all the struggles make you better and lessons learned to bring out the best possible version of yourself. No matter how hard it gets, there is always a choice, an answer or a solution. Never give up! Disney took I believe 10 times to make it what it is today.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with la bella salon – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I am a Master Hair Stylist and owner of la bella salon, an Aveda Concept salon. We specialize in color, cuts, eyebrow waxing and makeup application. We use Aveda color and products, which uses 98% naturally derived ingredients. We pride ourselves on our customer service. We go above and beyond to take care of our clients. We pamper them with little things like chocolate and Sangria in order to create the calming atmosphere that they’ve come to know and love.

Were there people and/or experiences you had in your childhood that you feel laid the foundation for your success?
My Dad has always influenced me in being a strong woman and going after my dreams. He is a hard-working man who was exiled from Cuba with nothing expect three sets of clothes and a couple of family members to take care of. He always worked two jobs in order to take care of us. My grandfather from my mom’s side has always said that there has never been anyone that has died from hard work!
