Hidden Gems: Meet Stephanie Ramirez of Steph Ramirez Consulting & Coaching

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Ramirez.

Hi Stephanie, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Absolutely! Well first off, my journey hasn’t been linear, and honestly, that’s been one of my greatest teachers.

I grew up in South Florida, graduated from the University of Florida, and move to NYC to embark on a 11-year career and self-transformation journey.

I started my career in a global strategic communication agency focused on digital and social media marketing for corporate consumer brands and then in media then tech, working across social media strategy, analytics, and brand growth for over a decade. On paper, everything looked successful: stable jobs, recognizable brands, and a clear trajectory upward. Nominated for Forbes 30 under 30 and achieved several promotions into senior leadership while working remotely. But internally, I felt disconnected from myself. I was chasing someone else’s definition of success while slowly burning out and losing touch with my creativity, my body, and my voice.

Eventually, life forced a pause with the pandemic. I went through 3 layoffs, personal transitions, and deep moments of questioning, who am I outside of my job title? What do I actually want my life to feel like? That period became the catalyst for everything that followed.

I started rebuilding from the inside out. I leaned into movement and dance (world and national winning competitive Latin ballroom became a huge part of my healing and self-expression), pursued voice-over acting in both English and Spanish, became a certified Pilates teacher, writer, singer, key note speaker on stages and conferences like SXSW, and began doing the inner work around identity and self-trust. At the same time, I built a business on strategic marketing and personal branding consulting and now identity expansion coaching as a ICF-certified coach.

What emerged was something much deeper than marketing.

Today, I run my own consulting and coaching practice where I guide high-achieving professionals especially women who feel stuck, burnt out, or disconnected from themselves to reconnect with who they are and build lives and businesses that actually fit them. My work blends personal branding strategy, identity coaching, embodiment, and mindset because I’ve learned that no amount of strategy works if you’re not aligned with yourself first.

I help people move from survival-mode success into self-led living.

Alongside coaching, I still offer strategic consulting for brands and founders, and I continue to pursue my creative passions through dance, voice-over, travel, and movement, all of which inform how I show up in my work. I don’t believe we’re meant to be one-dimensional. I believe we’re meant to be whole.

At the core of everything I do is this: helping people reclaim their identity, trust themselves again, and create lives rooted in clarity, freedom, and authenticity, not hustle or 24/7 grind mode.

It’s been a journey of coming home to myself, and now I get to help others do the same.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Definitely not a smooth road, but that’s been the beauty of it.

One of the many biggest challenges was realizing that the life I had built in corporate success wasn’t actually aligned with who I was becoming. Walking away from stability, a steady paycheck, benefits, and external validation was terrifying. There were moments of deep uncertainty, especially financially, where I questioned whether I had made the right decision.

I also had to confront burnout on every level, mental, emotional, and physical. For years, I operated in survival mode, tying my worth to productivity and performance. Letting go of hustle culture and learning how to listen to my body and nervous system has been an ongoing process. In that process I arrived at my heaviest weight of more than 230 pounds, and it wasn’t until I choose to follow my curiosity and found my joys I finally felt freedom that I was able to go through the inner transformation that led to my outer trandformation as well.

Another major challenge was identity.

I’m a first-generation, only daughter, first college graduate of my family, my parrents came to this country to achieve the Americadrem for my family from Peru nand I carried this maggae of wanting to make them proud, but that became heavy when I was abandoning myself. When you’ve spent most of your life being “the achiever,” the “strong one,” or the “successful one,” losing that structure forces you to face parts of yourself you’ve avoided. I had to unlearn people-pleasing, release perfectionism, and rebuild trust in myself especially as I stepped into entrepreneurship without a blueprint.

There were also personal challenges layered into all of this navigating creative vulnerability, putting myself back out there publicly, healing old wounds around self-worth, and more recently working through physical setbacks with knee injuries while training and competing in ballroom dance.

Entrepreneurship has taught me patience in ways nothing else could. There were quiet months, slow launches, and moments where I wondered if anyone was really listening. But each phase taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of staying rooted in my why.

The hardest part was learning how to be gentle with myself while rebuilding my life from the inside out.

And honestly, those struggles are what now allow me to hold space for others who are walking similar paths.

We’ve been impressed with Steph Ramirez Consulting & Coaching, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business sits at the intersection of identity, strategy, and embodiment.

I run a consulting and coaching practice where I support high-achieving professionals especially women who feel stuck, burnt out, or disconnected from themselves to reconnect with who they are and create lives and businesses that actually fit them. I blend identity work, mindset coaching, and embodied self-led leadership because I’ve learned that true success doesn’t come from doing more, it comes from being more aligned.

On the consulting side, I bring over 15+ years of experience in social media strategy, analytics, and digital marketing, working with founders, creatives, and brands who want clarity and intentional growth. On the coaching side, I guide clients who are executives through personal branding strategy.

What sets my work apart is that I don’t lead with tactics, I lead with identity first before strategy.

Most people try to fix their lives or businesses from the outside in. I help them rebuild from the inside out. Strategy comes second. Self-trust rooted in identity comes first.

I’m also deeply multi-passionate, I’m a competitive ballroom dancer, voice-over artist, Pilates teacher, speaker, writer, singer, and strategist, and I bring all of that into my work. Movement, creativity, and presence are just as important to me as spreadsheets and marketing plans. I don’t believe we’re meant to be one-dimensional, and I give my clients permission to embrace their full selves too.

Brand-wise, what I’m most proud of is creating a space where people feel seen, safe, and empowered to choose themselves. My work isn’t about hustle culture or overnight success, it’s about clarity, freedom, embodiment, and sustainable growth.

I want readers to know that my brand is rooted in authenticity and service. Whether someone works with me through consulting, coaching, or creative projects, the goal is always the same: to help them reclaim their voice, trust their intuition, and build a life aligned with who they truly are, not who they were taught to be.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is that alignment matters more than achievement.

For a long time, I believed success meant pushing harder, proving myself, and checking all the boxes. But every major turning point in my life came when I slowed down, listened inward, and chose myself even when it didn’t make logical sense on paper.

I’ve learned that clarity doesn’t come from forcing answers but from creating space to hear yourself.

I’ve also learned that your identity shapes everything: your relationships, your work, your money, and your sense of fulfillment. When you’re disconnected from who you are, no amount of strategy will fix it. But when you trust yourself, everything changes.

Another big lesson has been embracing being multi-passionate instead of trying to fit into one lane. Dance, coaching, voice-over, movement, all of it belongs. I don’t have to shrink or simplify myself to be taken seriously. It’s ok to be different, live differently, and not have to be one-dimensional. The more you are yourself, the more permission you give others to choose themselves as well. We’re all here on different life paths, and no one has it all figured out. We’re doing our best, so living authentically is the best thing we can do during the short time we have here.

Most of all, I’ve learned that freedom isn’t something you earn later. It’s something you choose now, one brave decision at a time.
