Today we’d like to introduce you to Noah “DEDRO” Demauro
Hi Noah “DEDRO”, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started off my music producing career at age 15 right around when COVID-19 first started up in May of 2020. My cousin Joey convinced me to purchase FL Studio as we both shared a love for music. I started off producing Hip-Hop/ Rap beats that closely resembled the style of famous producing group “Internet Money”. As I progressed and got better, local talent and upcoming rappers began to hit my line asking for beats. By the time I was 17, I was in Miami working with extremely talented producer and top-line writer, LunchMoney Lewis. He helped me land a placement with Lil $o$o on a song called “Bunny Hop” produced by myself. The song did fairly well, getting played on Miami’s biggest radio station, 103.5 The Beat. As time went on, I kept producing and grinding, producing countless songs for different artists. A few songs here and there would pop off. For example, I produced a song called “Set It Off” for my best friend who goes by $anoDefecta, reaching over 35,000 streams on SoundCloud. Eventually, I landed two placements with extremely talented, upcoming rapper “Lelo”. The bigger of the two songs is called “Terraces” and the other is called “Demeulemeester”, both combining for well over half a million streams across all platforms. Traveling to Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm for studio sessions became a weekly thing. In July of 2023, I got signed to “Chase Entertainment” who still now currently manages me and does my bookings. All the guys at Chase, Rob, Mike, and Brian, are the best managers in the world. After high school, I got accepted to Florida State University where I attended college as an Entrepreneurship Major and am a member of Theta Chi fraternity here. One of the first things that happened up here was my immediate switch to house music. I fell in love with the EDM and house music scene as I watched Chris Lake perform for the first time at Potbelly’s. I took on DJing way back in 2020 with a small little Numark board, only playing for a few friends at house parties. However, creating house music for the first time started back in December of 2023. I got my first job as a resident DJ at The Tally Strip as a fall semester freshmen. I decided to change my DJ name to “DEDRO”. My parents are very loving and supporting of my career. As of right now, I am a sophomore and I have 3 residency’s here in Tallahassee. I play at Club Recess, Clyde’s and Costello’s, and The Warehouse. I opened up for touring techno DJ, Eli Brown, at Potbelly’s back in April, also as a freshmen. I’ve opened for DJ CHIZZLE at SWAY Nightclub in Fort Lauderdale. My remix of “Million Dollar Baby” got supported by touring Nervous Records DJ, Loofy.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My own worst enemy is myself. I’ve been told no a million times. I’ve been made fun of a million times in high school. Sometimes I would wait outside the studio for an hour just waiting to get in and do my thing. These things would completely deplete my confidence. People have slept on me for so long for how young I was and still am. It’s hard here in Tallahassee because seniority is such a big tradition here, so when most people saw a freshmen trying to make it as a DJ, they didn’t even bat an eye. I wasn’t always good at producing music, so I seriously had to grind and get better at my passion in order to get to where I am today. Being consistent is something that truly helped me grow and flourish. Sometimes you just have to be annoying and pesky to get in the right places. You have to get in front of the right people and prove your talent. Always be ready to go at any given moment. Back in December of 2023, I lost two good friends of mine back to back days on the two days right before my birthday. Jaden Aldrich and Caden Ingram. Jaden was a friend of mine from back home and Caden was one of my fraternity brothers. They were both such amazing people who would’ve been extremely proud of how far I’ve come.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a music producer signed to Chase Entertainment as well as a Club DJ and EDM artist. I DJ most of the clubs up here in Tallahassee and play clubs down in Fort Lauderdale and Miami. Some notable clubs I’ve played at in Fort Lauderdale are SWAY, Kemistry, Sparrow, and FLs bar. I played at Paraiso Estero in Miami, closing out for Rello. As a music producer, I’ve accumulated over a million streams on all of the songs I’ve produced across all platforms. As a House producer/ DJ, I have two songs under two different labels. “Make It Rain” under Fresh Baked Records, and “IDC” under Spira Music. As I mentioned earlier, I opened up Potbelly’s for Eli Brown as a freshmen during my spring semester. I have so many events planned for this fall so stay tuned.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
My advice for finding a mentor is put yourself out there. Don’t be afraid to reach out to people. The worst thing they can do is just say no or ignore you. That’s a fear that most people can’t seem to get over and that’s what stops people from pursuing their dreams. I’ve been told no or “I’m sorry, your music isn’t for us” probably close to a thousand times. However, I kept working on my craft and pursuing it. I eventually got better and created better music. This caught the attention of many people. Also, be yourself. Don’t try to change who you are in order to fit in or make people like you. This industry is ruthless, why make things harder for yourself trying to pretend to be something you’re not?
