Eric Nathan, the President of Nathans Investigations, is a distinguished individual with a strong background in the field. As a U.S. Army Veteran, he brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the table. Eric holds several board certifications, including Certified Social Media Analyst, Certified Social Media Expert, and Classified Intelligence Gathering expert, as well as proficiency in Interrogation and Interviewing techniques. Furthermore, he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Private Investigation Services, demonstrating his dedication to continuous learning and professional growth.
Prior to establishing Nathans Investigations, Eric Nathan worked as an insurance fraud and workman’s compensation investigator for a national investigation agency. He also served as the lead private investigator for the Florida Bureau of Private Investigators. Additionally, Eric has held significant roles, such as a field operations supervisor for a Florida-based Security and Intelligence firm, a Regional Asset Protection supervisor, and a behavioral health counselor.

It hasn’t been entirely smooth sailing, as we’ve encountered a few obstacles along the way. Operating a private investigation agency comes with its fair share of difficulties, but it’s been a fulfilling journey overall. One of the major challenges has been keeping up with the constantly evolving legal landscape and technological advancements. Moreover, establishing a strong reputation in a competitive field requires significant time and effort. Balancing the emotional demands of the job while delivering high-quality services has also been a delicate task. However, with dedication, perseverance, and a commitment to ethical practices, we’ve overcome these challenges and have been able to grow our agency successfully.

According to previous reports, catfishing and romance scams have been prevalent issues in the US, with thousands of cases reported annually. Exact statistics on catfishing and romance scams in the US can be challenging to obtain due to underreporting and the secretive nature of these crimes. However, according to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), romance scams were among the top three types of fraud reported in 2020, with consumers reporting losing over $300 million to romance scams that year. Additionally, the FTC received over 23,000 reports of romance scams in 2020 alone.
