Hi Alexandre, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
In 2016, while I was still employed as Business Engineer in France (where I’m from), I created the Drexler Ceramic brand as side project. It’s a line of car care products focused on ceramic coatings. Ceramic coating is a hard polymer made to protect a car paint and make it shine. It’s basically like a car wax which lasts for many years. As car guy since my youth, it was my dream to grow my own company in car industry and mix my passion with my work.
I developed the sales online until I was able to quit my job, which happened in 2019. This same year, my wife and I decided to export the brand in the US, so we came here, in Miami, in order to open the first Drexler Ceramic Coating Center to directly offer the service to our customers.
In October 2020 and after many surprises (COVID-19 wasn’t planned), we finally opened the first center in Miami Gardens and officially moved from France to the US.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
As a foreigner, the most difficult part in starting a business in the US is to get a Visa. Thanks to our Immigration attorney and after almost two years of planning and many administrative procedures, we finally got the precious pass to open our business. But, history wanted to add some spice, and COVID-19 arrived. We had to go back to France and delay the opening for a few months.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Drexler Ceramic is a brand of ceramic coating products. We are selling our products to professional car detailers around the world. To date, we have exported our products to more than 60 countries.
We now also grow a service branch, where we offer our services directly to car owners. This is what we do at Drexler Ceramic Miami. Here, you can get your car fully paint-protected and enhanced. We offer different packages to make your car looks better than brand new, from simple paint correction (polishing) to full ceramic coating.
Our ceramic coating comes with a 3 to 10 years warranty, depending on the number of layers applied, and offers a stunning shine to your car, a protection against swirls and chemicals, and will make your car so easy to keep clean.
We don’t only take care of your paint, but also your wheels, glass parts and leather interior with our different products.
At Drexler Ceramic Miami, we are known for our high-end services, knowledge of what we do and being able to take care of the most exclusive cars.
Set us apart from competitors is quite easy, we are the only company offering services with our own line of products. We have developed our products and are in the best position to properly apply them.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
Car detailing and paint protection is becoming more and more popular. Car prices always increase and people want to keep them clean. Doing a paint protection on your car will help to keep its value.
Many of our customers just bought their brand new car and the first thing they do is coming to our center to protect it.
In this context, having a reliable company to offer these services is very important, and this why our project is now to develop new centers through the US.
