Tommy, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I have been working out for 35 years along with doing martial arts and playing football. My body was in pain all the time after all those years of beating it up. I saw cryotherapy on TV and went in and tried it. I immediately felt less pain and had more energy. I went for 4 more sessions and my aches and pains went from a pain level of 7 to a pain level of 2. So, I decided to open my own facility in Boca Raton to help others who are having the same problems that I had. It helps with arthritis, sports recovery, burns calories, increases energy, helps skin conditions as well as cellulite, and builds your immune system. It is really a great therapy for people who suffer from any of these ailments.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It was a challenge in the beginning since I had never opened a storefront before. But, we got through all the red tape and opened. And, it has been great since opening.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Ultimate Cryotherapy & Wellness – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We are a wellness center. We have different therapies to help people feel better. We have the Cryosauna, which is a big stand up machine that takes you down to -220 to -250 Fahrenheit. We also have the Cryoelephant. This machine is used for spot treatments and facials. It has a hose to hit specific areas for 10 minutes to help reduce swelling and pain in the area. So, if you pull a hamstring we can lay you down on the table and hit the specific area of the hamstring where the damage is and help to heal you quicker. It is like putting ice on the area to the 100th power.
We also use it for facials. Wrinkles in the skin come from the collagen collapsing under the skin and the skin being loose enough to fall in those collapsed areas. The negative 250 blast of the cryoelephant breaks down the collagen under the wrinkles which allows the body to produce new, fresh collagen and tightens the skin so the wrinkles disappear. It also brings the blood to the surface of your skin to feed and strengthen the skin and give you that rosy glow. The last service we provide is the infrared sauna. This is great for cardio and to detox your body. The infrared light penetrates up to 3 inches into your body and helps your body get rid of the toxins and heavy metals being stored in your body through sweating. We are very proud of our facility and the fact that we help people live better more pain free lives.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We are looking to expand to 3 more facilities in the next 4 years and adding more technology for other modalities.
