Today we’d like to introduce you to Anita Johnson.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Anita. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I begin my entrepreneur days in 1998 processing taxes, accounting. In 2000, I found that more women were coming to me with their financial woes. I wanted to know why women were having such a hard time with finances. I begin my Ph.D. in Finance with my research focused on Money DNA and each person’s relationship to money.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No! Not at all. Money is such a personal thing. Everyone can use the help to figure the why but fear or embarrassment keeps them from receiving help. Most people feel they have a handle on their finances but really a relationship with money is not taught. I look beyond the spreadsheets and budget working on their Financial DNA
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I actually love my work as a Financial Behaviorist. I love to see the light bulb come on for people. They figure out it’s their DNA and how they can really improve their relationship.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success comes from my clients when they return and/or reach their true financial potential.
