Thanks for sharing your story with us Miguel. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
We literally started from almost nothing. At the time I had $2500 in the bank and I used all of it to purchase my first set of equipment on July of 2014. Since then, we have grown exponentially! We are still family owned and operated.
We are currently doing between 2-5 projects a week, varying from water or mold damage restoration to kitchen and bath remodels.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Definitely not a smooth road to growth. We struggle a lot with payment terms on insurance related work, payments on work performed come in as quick as 6 months from completion to over 2 years from completion date. Although that is the bulk of our work, we have managed to include in our line of services, remodeling bathroom and kitchens or complete homes to our day to day services to remain afloat. Due to our quality of work we have been able to get 95% of our work from word of mouth.
Oasis Solutions of Florida – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We are a full-service restoration company, this includes water damage cleanup, mold remediation, fire restoration, and odor removal. We specialize in affordable mold remediation. Since we live in a demographic where mold is in the majority of homes we strive to make mold remediation affordable while being thorough and professional. one of the proudest moments was having a client bring his whole family on the last day we were on the job site. Total of 8 members. He asked them what was the difference between every other company they had seen do work for them in their home and us, one by one they pointed out our clean job site. We removed ceiling and walls in 50% of their home and all they could say in such turmoil was, “they are the only people we have seen work as clean as they have and yet they have done the dirtiest work possible.” We strive on cleanliness on the job so that occupants don’t get overwhelmed with an already semi-uncomfortable situation. This has led to many referrals and continued business with clients.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success can only be defined by your customers. If we have not made a costumer want to share our business services with someone they know, then we know we failed at some point during the process of dealing with this costumer. If there is a moment where we can do something special, something not included in the estimate, we take the opportunity to do so. We want the costumer to say: “they went out of their way for us.”
