Today we’d like to introduce you to Steven Weil.
Steven, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Our firm was founded in 1984 to assist business owners increase their profits and reduce their taxes.
Over the years we have increased the services we offer to meet the needs of our clients. The firm principals are a husband and wife team that bring vast business and financial experience to our clients.
Today our staff numbers 16 fulltime employees and assist clients with everything from doing their day to day bookkeeping to financial and tax services. In some cases, we act as the CFO for our client companies. No matter what their needs large of small our clients know we will be there for then when they need us and we will also give their business the same care we take with our business.
Has it been a smooth road?
Like many small businesses, we have had to adjust and redefine how we do things over the years the systems and procedures we used when we only had a few clients’ needs to be updated and changed as we grew.
For us the most important thing was to make sure our growth served our clients just as much as it served our shareholders and employees. We also have worked hard to make sure our clients always felt our growth did not reduce the personal service that had come to know from us.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with RMS Accounting – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We are more than just accountants, our business started as a business consulting firm that assisted others in solving problems in their business, often times these problems involved bookkeeping, cash flow management and tax problems. Today we offer full service bookkeeping, this allows clients to have us take over all of their bookkeeping and accounting needs, manage their cash flow, maintain their records and provide them with ongoing business and tax advice. We also offer accounting, business consulting, payroll service and a full range of tax services. We treat every client’s business like it our business and provide whatever help they need to be as successful as they can be.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
We have clients across the U.S. as well as working with the U.S. divisions of a number of foreign companies. Fort Lauderdale give us access to 3 major airports, as well as making us easy to get to from almost anywhere in South Florida. But best of all, our out of town clients would much rather visit us than have us visit them especially in the winter. As tax pros we also love the fact that Florida has no state income tax.
