Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Michael Kelly.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I obtained my medical degree from University of Illinois College of Medicine and have now been in practice for over 25 years. I started my career in reconstructive surgery. I enjoyed the satisfaction of helping patients in severe circumstances restore their self-image through reconstruction. I worked very hard to establish my practice and at one point, had privileges at 11 different hospitals.
As my practice grew, I found myself doing less reconstructive surgery and more cosmetic surgery. I enjoyed the newer innovative techniques and I became more captivated by cosmetic surgery, with a particular focus in facial plastic surgery. I enjoy the challenge of cosmetic surgery because I find it the most technically difficult field in plastic surgery. I also really enjoy helping people feel good about themselves.
As my practice grew, we needed to expand to accommodate the increasing demand for our services. I gradually grew my practice and started to incorporate additional partners to lend their expertise in other subsectors of plastic surgery.
After a few years of solidifying my brand and building my reputation within the industry, we then expanded to 3 offices.
I have always focused on quality, safety, and standing behind my work. I have always wanted to be the plastic surgeon that other physicians would refer their family members too.
Has it been a smooth road?
There were definitely some struggles.
I think one of the hardest points was expanding from one office to three. Getting all of the different providers to get to work together as a team was one of the more difficult tasks. However, we quickly realized that if we all did well collectively, then we would also do well individually.

Miami Plastic Surgery and MPS MedSpa are a branch of three Aesthetic Centers located throughout Miami Florida. We have nine fully licensed providers in their respective specialties. Throughout our three locations, we have 3 Surgeons, 3 Physician Assistants, and 3 Medical Aestheticians.
We offer a range of different invasive and non-invasive services. My two partner Physicians and I all specialize in a range of different surgical procedures. I specialize in facial plastic surgery, as well as tummy tucks, and breast procedures. My partner Dr. Carlos Wolf specializes in Rhinoplasties and Facial Plastic Surgery. My third partner, Dr. Max Polo, specializes in mommy makeovers, Brazilian butt lifts, and body sculpting.
We have three Physician Assistants, Paula Brezavscek, Tanya Patron, and Carolyn Presby, that specialize in Coolsculpting, Botox, Injectables, Ultherapy, Laser Resurfacing, Laser Hair Removal and Microneedling with PRP. Our three Medical Aestheticians, Ana Malvarez, Nancy Gonzalez, and Heidy Urra, specialize in overall Skin Care and perform medical grade facials, chemical peels, and Microneedling.
Our focus is that our cosmetic surgery and procedures are as safe as possible and our patients are completely satisfied.

I enjoy all of the beautiful people and the sunshine. And what I like least is the traffic.
