Meet Trailblazer Bianca Myh

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bianca Myh.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Hello everyone, I am originally from Romania.

I was born in Transylvania, in a small city, and migrated with my family to Bucharest at age eight.

I come from a very loving family. I remember not having much as a kid, but my parents always made sure to give us everything that any kid would need and I could not have been happier. I had the most amazing childhood.

My parents came from nothing and slowly made their way up the ladder. They got married very young, went out into the world and had us (my brother and I) soon after. I am sure it was really hard for them, and for that reason, they will always be my heroes, people I’ll always look up to.

They empowered me to be driven by higher objectives and to want more from life.

My life has been quite a beautiful journey so far, with its ups and downs, with lessons learned and many amazing experiences. I had some really tough times, but I wouldn’t change that for anything. It’s all worthy. They made me into who I am today. I feel I’ve learned so much already.

Fast forward, I never intended to move to a different country. I first visited the US a little over five years ago and instantly fell in love. I gave up the comfort of my own home and a beautiful life back home and started from scratch on a different continent. I am pretty ambitious and driven, so I love to take risks when it comes to proving something to myself. I started from zero, with zero English and zero people I knew. I came with $400, a suitcase (“full of dreams” like they say) and planned to stay for no longer than six months, enough to learn the language. After six months, I never wanted to leave. Perhaps, that “American dream” happened to me. The moment I landed in NYC, it felt like cupid’s arrow struck me and I only fell in love with the city more and more, day after day. I couldn’t look back, no matter how hard it was going to be, and it was hard.

Slowly, but surely, I found cheap rent and spent my $400 in the first week. I started doing some hostess and modeling jobs here and there and soon, I was a full-time employee with two jobs. I was working from 10 am to 11 pm and taking the subway and bus to and from work. It would take me over an hour on average. Some people won’t understand, not even my family, how I left my comfortable life back in Romania to struggle and be miserable in a different country, with strangers around? Frankly, I didn’t even understand why myself. But, that was the challenge for me, to find out. All I knew is that I wanted to ‘build’ something, I wanted to be successful, and the struggle felt great because don’t they say “Great things don’t come easily.” Well, that is so true.

Let me go back for a second to my childhood. I suffered from anxiety starting at age 12. It was hard but I overcame it. I always had a strong will and believed everything is achievable if we think about it strong enough. Since an early age, I always wanted to be successful and make a huge change in the world. Such a cliche, isn’t it? Would that be possible? Remains to be seen.

Back to me living in the US, the first six months were tough, I basically cried a lot and I was frustrated most of the time because of the language barrier. As my English got better, my jobs got better, and the opportunities got greater. At that point, I still didn’t know what I wanted to do in life. I started reading a lot of books about business and self-improvement so I would better understand how to train my brain to think big. I was writing and writing different words and terms non-stop until I filled three thick notebooks. I started questioning myself non-stop: “What is it that I really love doing”? I knew that if I was going to find out, I will get all my answers.

I remember I was walking on 5th Avenue a few days after I arrived, window-shopping and dreaming about how one day, I would make it so big that I would actually afford to buy my dream stainless-steal Cartier watch and those Stuart Weitzman boots in the window. I always loved beauty, fashion and dressing up, but I always looked at it as a way to entertain myself, not as something that might turn into a job or business at some point. I come from a family with a great desire for shopping. We could literally spend ten hours of non-stop shopping in a department store with no need for food or water. And let me be clear about something; there is a difference between materialism and being passionate about something or having high expectations from life. I am a hard-working person; I am true to myself, and I always talk with passion about that which I love. My friends used to tell me how they instantly fell in love when I started talking about my goals or passions. We are all different. We like what we like. We all do what makes us happy to a certain extent, don’t we? I knew I will have all I wanted one day. Getting to work with all kind of brands, fashion houses, be gifted all kind of things: beauty and fashion, is quite a dream for me.

Not a lot of people know all the details about me. Social media is not all I am doing at the moment. Social media came actually along the way, as a hobby, and slowly shifted into something more.

During my early stage of trying to find my path in life and living in a different country, I knew I had to find a mentor, someone who can teach me and guide me towards discovering what I wanted to do and I actually did find one. I was very lucky because this has changed my life to 180 degrees in a very short period of time. I knew that a change had to start with me first so I wanted to make a change. You know what they say “If something doesn’t work, make a change.” Changes are good. So, in not more than two months, I moved to Miami and started a new life.

I’ve always been a good student, so I got into real estate. I developed a great passion for it and started to get more involved in this space. I planned to discover a formula to create a business that had to do with the real estate and work in something that had to do with what I loved most, which is fashion. Still though, I didn’t know what and how, but it was, at least, a start. After you decide what path you want to follow, it’s just a matter of time until you get where you want, putting one step in front of the other.

I started by taking the real estate sales associate course, passed the state exam soon after that and became what is known as a realtor associate for one of the biggest and most prestigious real estate brokerage companies in the US. A few months into my new career, I realized I didn’t like what I was doing, and it felt like a faraway dream until I could actually make it big. It’s such a competitive market, not that I don’t like competition, it just didn’t work for me. It wasn’t something that I saw myself waking up in the morning and doing.

In 2017, when I started to travel and take more pictures, I also started to post consistently on social media and accumulated a substantial following. Soon after acquiring my first 2,000 followers, I started being contacted daily by different brands that wanted to work with me. But, social media is an extremely oversaturated space with a way to many bloggers, and I frankly wish I got into it much sooner. I love it. Fashion and social media is my passion and brings to the surface my creative side, while real estate might provide long-term security.

Also, in 2017, I am proud to say I opened my own business, which is an online clothing boutique, called Babeluscious. At Babeluscious, we sell clothing and jewelry for contemporary women.

Career-wise, I now have many other ventures I am working on that I am really excited about and I can’t wait to share them with you, on another occasion. Until then, it is a pleasure to be able to share my story with you. I remember that once I dreamed about being where I am now.

Everyone, continue dreaming!
