Today we’d like to introduce you to Aracely Carbonell.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I got started seven years ago after I realized my passion for Event Planning needed to be more than just a future goal. For as long as I could remember, being 11 years old and secretly planning my parents anniversary party was a thrill I would get. Event Planning was just something I always had in me. After countless times of thinking “what if” I made the leap of leaving Corporate America and stared what is today Cely’s Events.
I couldn’t be more proud and thankful to have done so. Starting my own business, after taking my Wedding Planners Certification Course, brought me to realize what I truly loved was designing Weddings. Cely’s Events specializes in Wedding Planning and I truly enjoy every crazy, stressful and yet rewarding second of it. Being in the Wedding Industry has allowed me to gain personal experience, many things books won’t prepare you for. Also, it has brought me great blessings and has allowed me to work alongside amazing Wedding Vendors.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Honestly, I can’t say its been a completely smooth road, but I think because of my passion for Wedding Planning, I’ve focused on giving it my all and remaining positive and professional. Obstacles occur every day, even though there’s still times I look back and say “I wish I would have done it differently”, it is those same moments that have led me to become a better Wedding Planner and give a better service to my clients.
Please tell us about Cely’s Events.
Cely’s Events started as an Event Planning business, but after the course of 7 years, I’ve grown to love & specialize in Wedding Planning. I start with my clients right after they’ve gotten engaged. Where they don’t know where to start planning and yet they’re so eager to begin this exciting journey. Meeting and getting to know my clients, their backgrounds, traditions and to see what vision they have in mind is so exciting. Cely’s Events is known for my attention to detail, for my organization and I’d say for the relationships I build with my clients. Giving my all at every event I do, no matter how big or small is something you can always count on.
Working alongside other Vendors and seeing the feedback I get from them and the Venues, has allowed me to be added to various Preferred Vendors Lists throughout Miami and that alone is a great accomplishment. It speaks volumes when a Venue or Vendor is able to say they trust you to work with them and their clients. I believe my love for events and the bond I create with my clients is what sets me apart. I cry at every wedding! On the “day of“ when I present my clients with their vision, their dream wedding and they can’t believe it’s their wedding, when their eyes start to tear and they hug and thank me, THAT is truly the most rewarding part of my job. Knowing that they trusted in me, my expertise, and my Team of Vendors is something that reassures me I’m doing what I love.
What’s your outlook for the industry in our city?
Miami only continues to grow and the Wedding industry as well. This city is full of diversity and culture which is something I see at all of my Weddings. Whether they’re out of state clients or residing here in Miami, our city offers many beautiful things. One major advantage is the different scenery options venues have to offer. From a fun and colorful Wynwood Wedding to an Oceanfront Ceremony, from a classic Ballroom, to a beautiful Garden Wedding at Vizcaya. Not to mention the array of food a client can offer for Dinner or a late night bite to give their guests a taste of Miami.
