Today we’d like to introduce you to Gustavo Herrera.
Gustavo, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Since I was a little boy, I remember spending most of my time on my grandfather’s carpentry business. I would love to watch him work for hours in a row, until one day I discovered I already knew how to do it all by myself. It was then I knew, I had this passion for carpentry and all it involves. Thirty years later, more than a passion it became my profession and today is what I love doing the most.
Through the years, I have worked for several small companies, which today form part of the amazing journey that lead me to have my own business.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Absolutely not. There were many obstacles I had to face, including the language barrier and the lack of experience, but of course neither held me back. At the end of the day, what is a life without challenges.

We are a small company with over 30 years of experience in the carpentry business. We specialize in custom woodworking. Our ability to put in practice what our customers want is one of a kind and that is exactly what makes YG Carpentry unique. We pride ourselves on delivering only quality and excellence in our work. Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
My drive. I pride myself on getting things completed and working as hard as it takes to do it.
