Thanks for sharing your story with us Emilio. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Three generation coffee farmer from Honduras. Moved to Miami at the age twelve. My great grandfather and my grandfather embedded the love for coffee on us. My ancestors thought me that the gift of giving back without expecting anything in return, as I got older, I decided to keep our tradition to honor my family and give back to the community he loved so much. The coffee community from my country.We are doing so by not only helping small farmers to produce better quality coffee but buying their coffee at fair trade. The success is the essence of the brand. The back labels of our products tell their stories giving the consumer the opportunity get to know the people responsible for the cup of coffee they are about to enjoy.
“From Honduras to your cup” is our slogan our concept is to share with the world part of my country in a positive way and let everyone know how good our coffee is.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road is never easy in the coffee world we always have challenges but God is good and always help us to come out a float. We always find a way accomplished our goals, that is to carry the flag for the coffee from Honduras everywhere we go.
Finca’s Coffee – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
My background is marketing, I’ve been working on creating and developing brands for the past 15 years. In the past, I developed multiple brands in the clothing industry and spirits, but the brand I am most proud is Finca’s Coffee because is my own brand and the meaning it has for my family.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
As a designer, you want to be able to work with a company that has little boundaries when it comes to budget and allows you to see your work in a large scale. Working for a global brand like McDonald’s has been a blessing for me and I am very proud to say that I have accomplished my carrier goals.
