Today we’d like to introduce you to Tatiana Angel.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
After leaving my country, Colombia to do my studies of Communications, Marketing and International Relations in Switzerland, Boston, and Paris, I landed in Miami in 2000 during the internet boom and as many young professionals at the time, I joined the DOT-COM community. A couple of years later and totally unexpected, I found myself working for one of Miami’s iconic publications, Ocean Drive Magazine, where I had the chance to plan hundreds of events as the Public Relations Director and later on as Associate Publisher for its sister publication Ocean Drive en Español.
About ten years ago, I decided to give a total turn to my professional career and joined my family’s event planning business, which was founded by my mother 18 years ago mainly to produce spectacular destination weddings in the Caribbean.
I never thought I would end up in this field, but it’s been an amazing ride and I love it!
Today, we design and produce not only weddings but a lot of corporate and social events around the world.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Uncertain more than smooth, but lots of fun. Not real struggles, we have been lucky to be recognized in this industry and my mother, who’s the founder and spirit of our operation has also been the “Godmother” of many young event planners today.
CCC Event Planning – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We are creators of super high-end destination weddings, corporate events, and intimate social affairs. We are super detail oriented, none of our events are alike. We custom make every event based on our client’s personalities, budgets, and expectations.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I measure success based on a good balance between my personal and professional life. I’ve never been focussed on specific goals. I just have a deep passion for everything I do; I’m a very intense and passionate person.
