Today we’d like to introduce you to Scott Lewis.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I am the host of Inside Fighting Radio on 640AM The hurricane – Fox Sports Radio, which can be heard every Sunday 11 am ET. We bring you the need, analysis, and interviews from around the combat sports world, MMA organizations like UFC and Bellator, as well as boxing, Muay Thai kickboxing, Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling and more.
I was previously the host and founder of MMA Fight Radio in Arizona, and now deliver the same hard-hitting fight show to South Florida and beyond through Fox Sports Radio and multiple social media and entertainment platforms.
I have been doing radio for almost 20 years and studied journalism in college, and I’ve been involved in MMA media for over ten years now. I’m also the Ring Announcer for Underground Cage Fighting Championships, which held the first-ever professional mixed martial arts event in Palm Beach County on July 21st, 2018; next event is November 17th at the Palm Beach County Convention Center. I also recently competed in the Florida State Jiu-Jitsu Championships and won a bronze medal. I am also General Manager for both TITLE Boxing Club Wellington and TITLE Boxing Club Palm Beach Gardens since May 2016.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It is never an easy road but always a rewarding one. The biggest challenges are finding the right station and time slot, which we have right now – 640AM The Hurricane Fox Sports Radio, every Sunday at 11 am ET.

We are a fight radio show, focusing on MMA, Muay Thai kickboxing, boxing, Jiu-Jitsu, amateur wrestling and more from the combat sports world. Our niche is that we are the ONLY full combat radio show in the world. We are also UFC media credentialed and continue to interview some of the biggest and best fighters in the world as part of our show.
As the longtime mitt holder and Cornerman for UFC and Bellator veteran Joe “Diesel” Riggs, I bring an insider view to the show.
What were you like growing up?
I grew up all over New York, from Queens to Long Island, where I spent my high school years in Long Beach. I played high school football and wrestling was all-county in two sports. Played college football in NY as an offensive lineman for Iona College and Stony Brook.
Was also an avid reader and writer, and wrote for the school yearbook in high school.
