Today we’d like to introduce you to Yon Son.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I have always been creative since I have been young but I have never found the right channel to showcase it. When I bought a new laptop I soon fell in love with creating computer generated art. My passion for CG art has driven me to push my limits and learn as much as I can. I push myself to create something new every day.
Please tell us about your art.
My art is computer generated (CG). It is a median between 3D and 2D graphics. I create visuals that convey a message but at the same time visually pleasing to look at. I create abstract shapes, surreal landscapes, and abnormal models. The process for my designs takes between 20 minutes to 8 hours a day.
Given everything that is going on in the world today, do you think the role of artists has changed? How do local, national or international events and issues affect your art?
I believe that the role as an artist has changed. I believe an artist has a strong influence of the people’s perception of national or international events. The events around me always affect my art, it also helps inspire me to create something to tie in art and current events.
