Today we’d like to introduce you to Kamila M. Cardenas.
Kamila M., let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Growing up in a small town in Kansas, surrounded by a family of carpenters and craftsman, I was far removed from the world of dance and entertainment. Believe it or not, my first introduction to dancing was a pair of roller-skates! I fell in love with the sensation of grooving to the music with the wind in my hair while twirling and crisscrossing my way through the roller-skate ring. I began what became a magical journey into the exploration of movement, music and the infinite capabilities of my body.
At 21 years old, I took a job as a ballroom dance instructor. Without any initial experience necessary, I was trained on the job and began teaching the basics straight away. I quickly realized I enjoyed passing on my knowledge to my students and chose to focus my education on the potential of pursuing teaching. I thrived on sharing the state of flow and immediate gratification I experienced when synchronizing my body to a melody. While attending college and dance school I was working as a senior bank teller. Then one day, while staring up into the sky daydreaming behind my desk as a senior bank teller, I saw a seagull. A seagull? In Kansas? All of a sudden thoughts of the ocean and my father far away in Venezuela flooded my mind. It felt right, my heart yearned for change.
In 2004, I moved down to Miami and started working for local entertainment company as a performer. After a short amount of time I became a full time assistant to the owner. This gave me an opportunity to learn about entertainment business here in Miami. The focus of the company I was working for did not fit my vision of my future career. That is when I started to think about creating my own business. I fell in love with belly dancing, fire dancing and dance fitness/instruction and slowly began building a network of friends and connections within Miami’s entertainment industry.
In 2006, Kamileon Productions was born with the vision of providing win-win-win solutions for selected performers, liaisons and corporate and private clients. Our motto at Kamileon Productions is “Created to Adapt, Designed to Entertain.” We hear our clients, and adapt to their needs. A flexible service that is focused on creative solutions and excellent communication.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been easy every day however I kept my head high and focused on the good stuff and all the beautiful things in my life. So far things seem to be always working out for me!

Kamileon Productions specializes in theatrical entertainment creating an element of artistic expression for any event. Our business objectives are simple. Focus on timeliness with quotes, proposals and ideas. Creating one of a kind experience and allowing our clients vision to become a reality. We do this by listening to every idea and thought. Then our highly qualified visionaries will use their expertise to sculpt your event to meet all entertainment needs of our client.
What am I most proud of as a company? I am most proud of that I am able to provide outlet for talent to create, that I have a great team of people and we are able to provide a quality service for our clients. I am proud of the fact that I got to meet and know most amazing talented people here in Miami. What sets us apart from others? Our knowledge of building special relationship with our clients, how we can find and utilize the best talent in Miami and beyond.

The fact I am able to be self-sufficient. I am business owner, producer, performer, creative director, choreographer, group fitness teacher, happy mom of Cane Corso named Leone, property investor, employer…
