Meet Paola Vergara of The Flower Atelier in Coral Gables

Today we’d like to introduce you to Paola Vergara.

Paola, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I have always found joy in entertaining, whether it is hosting an intimate group of friends or designing a large-scale event for a client.

The launch of The Flower Atelier in 2016 has been a dream come true. It has allowed me to use my creativity to design and create lasting memories. Working with clients to fulfill their expectations and connect with other talented and creative individuals has been an invaluable experience throughout this journey.

I passionately believe that life’s memories are made out of details of love and generosity and that is what she values as the core of the business.

Has it been a smooth road?
It has been smooth road with lots of learning opportunities.

I started doing flower design which in itself I consider it to be an art as it requires lots of patience and perseverance. With flowers, every day you learn something new and every situation gives you a new challenge. Every flower has a cycle and behaves different under specific circumstances so the outcome will always be different but it is very rewarding to see when the final result creates an everlasting impact in the eyes of your customer.

The event design phase came almost hand in hand. It is hard to do a floral design without tying it to the overall look of what you want to project for an event. After doing several flower design events my clients and some event planners I work with started asking me to do the whole design process for their events. It has been an amazing journey especially in Miami where the possibilities of venues and decor are endless.

Every project is a new and exciting challenge and in each a wonderful opportunity to meet extraordinary people.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into The Flower Atelier story. Tell us more about the business.
We are a boutique event design company, At the Flower Atelier we are inspired by trends, we leverage the inner beauty of flowers and entertainment decor to create innovative and unique designs.

We love making a connection with all the senses, exploring not only what the guests see, but also what they smell and feel when experiencing an event.

At The Flower Atelier, we believe that extraordinary outcomes are the result of focusing on even the smallest details therefore our company helps you with every step of the event design process. We work with our clients and assist them in the venue selection, create a design board with all the details for the decor and recommend the most professional vendors in the industry.

We believe that in planning an event, every step should be a good experience and fully enjoyed by all parties.

Our passion allows us to implement and execute a personalized event design that will exceed our client’s expectations.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I feel that the event design industry will continue growing exponentially especially in Miami. In next two to five years will start to see more the merge of digital and technological innovations into the design process which will revolutionize the type of events we currently see.

In the world of florals there is currently a high trend for the use of natural elements and non-floral elements which goes in line to the interior design trend of bringing the elements of nature into the decor.
