Meet Danielle Rodas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Rodas.

Danielle, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’ve been dating since a very young age, not knowing this is what I would do as my profession. My dance career started at the age of 16 when I was in high school. My dance coach told me she needed a dancer who can perform in an Univision Award show. After that so many doors opened. I stepped into a world I didn’t know existed… I ended up becoming part of an agency which sent me to auditions/castings and one booking lead to another and another.

Trough out the years I kept dancing training and networking – Flying out for dance conventions, auditions etc. Since I started my dance profession I’ve been pretty consistent with my work. Traveled to over 30 countries mainly because tours have taken me there which is insane because I never knew dance would take me there. Some of the artists I’ve had the opportunity to work with are: Daddy Yankee, Maluma, J Calvin, Abraham Mateo, Nicky Jam, Wisin y yandel, Ozuna, Cardi B, JLO, Cheyenne, Farruko, Will Smith etc.!

My biggest accomplishments have been touring, being in the Step Up Revolution movie filmed in Miami and this past month of July I performed in the finale of the World Cup alongside Nicky Jam, Era and Will Smith. Which is a dream I didn’t know I could fulfill!

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It hasn’t been completely smooth, but when you’re passionate you appreciate the obstacles. In this industry there’s more NO’s than YES’s. I’ve come to learn to not let that affect my energy… Keep working hard and what’s for you will BE FOR YOU. That’s how I began to think and in the long run the YES’s have been way more fulfilling that you don’t even remember all the NO’s. Their just part of my journey.

Danielle Rodas – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I’m a professional dancer. Known for touring with many Latin artists & performing in many important venues worldwide. What I would say sets me apart is my persistency – No matter how many jobs I get dancing I keep training, I keep networking. I DO NOT get comfortable I keep pushing and setting higher goals. Many people limit themselves to a situation when there’s so much room to dream and make those dreams happen.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success for me is exactly what I’m doing… My passion is my hobby, job, escape etc.

I live life fully, travel daily and dance has allowed me to do that! All while inspiring others to DREAM BIG. When I can I talk to young aspiring dancers and let them know that your passion can become a career.
