Today we’d like to introduce you to David Goldfarb.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started out with a couple of pool tables in my fraternity house and now, my company – Primetime Amusements, operates globally and supplies more than 2,000 arcade games in various locations, including at Xtreme. Originally, Primetime was a supplier of games to Xtreme Indoor Karting, which closed in April 2014. I then partnered with Michael Dezer a prominent real estate investor and classic car collector. At that point, we began the expansion and overhaul of Xtreme Action Park.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
At the beginning, we were really encouraged by the success of the first phase of the project. Though it was no easy or quick feat we, managed to double our initial forecast for revenue. Of course, there have been minor bumps on the road along the way – but nothing we couldn’t solve or overcome as a strong team. A “happy problem” we’ve had to deal with in the past is the shortage of parking for big event days or even holidays. Luckily, we’ve been able to accommodate park guests at an adjacent city lot, providing a shuttle to bring people over. This has been a huge help!
Xtreme Action Park – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am the owner of PrimeTime Amusements and a managing partner at Xtreme Action Park. While attending the University of Central Florida I operated a couple of pool tables while living at The Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity house. Later on, I moved down to South Florida and expanded the business here. Xtreme is now a big part of that – we have grown tremendously and are now known as the largest indoor family entertainment center in Florida. We’re really unique in that we offer something for the whole family and any age group. There isn’t any other venue in the area with these many attractions under one roof.
