Life and Work with Alora Chyrie

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alora Chyrie.

Alora, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
It all started in the 704; Carolina raised I always had a love for the arts. 2015, The Follicle started as a group of like-minded artists at Full Sail University. The year 2016, I graduated with my BS in Recording Arts and in the same year, my partner and I filed the paperwork to become an LLC specializing in Production. Because we are just starting out, we felt it would be amazing to work with locals to eventually expand to broader places. Working in both “live” and “pre-recorded” productions, we have grown to meet some of the most talented people in the South Florida area. The Follicle means “The Root”. We want to be a catalyst for your movement and help build a great impression for other’s brands or movements. I can definitely say that I am an energy person, which is why I always try my hardest put out the best energy for others. You never know what a person may be going through, so to be a glimpse of light in a dark tunnel can ignite another’s flame and help you to find another part of yourself.

Has it been a smooth road?
To this day, there are constant obstacles that try to stand in my way. Does it get hard? You bet! But when I think of all the blessings that I am granted every day, the obstacles become so small and minute. You can do anything that you set your mind to do! Of course, there will be challenges but there is no challenge you can not overcome. It truly helps to have the support from other like-minds with similar situations. That way, you’re able to talk about how you feel with people who can understand to some extent. With The Follicle, we know that it’s best when we have each other’s backs. I like to think of as if each person is a follicle on one large head of hair. It’s really about staying true to your roots. So, my advice to anyone who feels like they are at a standstill is to remember why you started in the first place; it’s best to know where you’ve come from in order to know where you’re going.

Not every “no” is a fail, sometimes, it’s just a push in the direction you’re destined to go.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with The Follicle Productions – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I am a singer/songwriter. my music is an eclectic vibe where my songs do not fall under the same genre (Rnb, Soul, Hip-hop, Jazz, EDM, Experimental). As of now, I have a couple singles and I am in preparation to release my 1st album towards the end of the year. I also have recently started working on being a positive influencer. I love to promote knowledge and positive messages; you never know what spark you could start by sharing what you’re learning. Most people know me for the color “yellow”. Yellow has become my stage presence and honestly a large part of who I’m becoming as an artist. The color yellow to me means happiness. When people see me, I want them to think of happiness even if the skies are grey. As a child, I was very shy; growing up around most who didn’t understand me. I’m proud to be growing as my own artist under The Follicle Brand. It’s been what I like to call a “Follicle Life” experience because of all the growth that I’ve seen within myself throughout these 2 years. I feel like what sets me apart is that I am on my own path. Most try to copy what others are doing in order to come up quick. For me, the success is all about the journey; remembering the bad so you can appreciate the good. Remember: “A tall tree with shallow roots will easily fall during the first big storm”.

Often it feels as if the media, by and large, is only focused on the obstacles faced by women, but we feel it’s important to also look for the opportunities. In your view, are there opportunities that you see that women are particularly well positioned for?
Though the media loves to talk about what obstacles women are facing (and of course they have some truth), I also feel like this is the best time to be alive for women. We can do it all! This is why the media pushes negativity. Today, women are taking over because there is a shift in the world. The more of us that support one another and work together, the greater the outcome! We can plan and create movement within our communities and beyond. Women are our greatest educators, they show the entire world how strong the human mind is once it has found purpose and determination.
