Meet Rachel Raab of Buddha Pants in Fort Lauderdale

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel Raab.

Rachel, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
This is my 4th business. My father always told me I needed to fail a couple times before I succeeded. He was right.

I moved to Miami in 2014 after closing a print shop that I wasn’t interesting in running anymore. Buddha Pants started on my sewing machine and extra bedroom and eventually grew to a 5,000 sq ft facility in Fort Lauderdale. Property value in Wynwood Miami was too much. And with doing 50+ Tradeshows a year. We needed a bigger airport to fly in and out of. Ft Lauderdale was a good place for this.

I designed a pant that packs into its pocket. The only harem yoga pant currently on the market that packs up into itself. I started making them, cause I love harem pants and was tired of the poorly manufactured ones available. We now ship and distribute world-wide.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Figuring out how to run an eccomerse store. How to market and automate as much as possible, I’m still trying to figure it out. Everyday- I’m learning.

Please tell us about Buddha Pants.
We make the only harem pant that packs up into it self. We make them in 9 sizes and over 50 patterns and solid colors.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
I have childhood amnesia.
