So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Papel & co. started out of my love for typography. Offering calligraphy services and brand design, with product development and the idea of having a tangible item that I myself once conceptualized, designed and produced. That’s when I realized that creating Wedding Invitations combined these two things I love- typography & product design. I fell in love with the process and the final consumer of my product. My product is the start of a love journey.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Owning a business is a process of learning each and every day. Some days the issues are big and other days they are small. The most important part about getting through them is having the right attitude. Don’t let your doubts overpower your passion.

Papel & Co specializes in modern stationary and wedding invitations. I would say that I’m known for bringing together minimal design with the antique methods of printing. What stands out most would be my color palette and the attention to detail which reflects in each of my projects.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
I would have to give much of my credit to Bridgette Dadd, the owner of Wynwood Letterpress. Bridgette opened her doors to me when I first thought offering a calligraphy workshop. At the time, I was a young girl with a heavy accent who had no experience teaching anything. She gave me the confidence I needed to bring this dream to life.
