Meet Maribel Reveron of ReveronGlam in Miramar

Today we’d like to introduce you to Maribel Reveron.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Maribel. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I am from Venezuela, where my first 8 years of work experience were developed in the skincare and dermatological sales industry, working for Pfizer as a Medical Sales Representative, there I was selling to dermatologist medications for skin diseases. In this field I acquired deep knowledge in in skin care products and skin deseeds. Later I also worked for another small pharmaceutical company, selling Aesthetics and anti-aging products such as Botox, Hialironic acid, PDO threads, among others, for which I have great knowledge in the cosmetic area too.

Meanwhile I always wanted to specialize in my passion which is Makeup Artistry, initiating these professional studies in a traditional academy, from there what started as a hobby became in a true vocation and since then I have been in constant improvement taking several courses and certifications with the biggest experts from my country to be able to offer my clients the latest techniques and trends in the market.

This preparation allowed me to start my own business as a Freelance Makeup Artist 4 years ago, using the social media as a platform to reach clients, since then I have been constantly doing makeup for weddings, photo shoots, advertising campaigns, graduations and all occasions. I’ve been also performing as a makeup instructor teaching my clients how to apply their own makeup or get trained in a professional program if they want to become a makeup artist or improve their techniques, counting on an excellent reputation and recognition in the social media for the work done on my clients and students.

Last year, due to the terrible situation that my country is going through, I was forced to emigrate with my husband, moving to the United States, specifically to Coconut Creek, and a few months after my arrival I joined Glam Squad to work as a freelance Makeup Artist. This company trained me in the latest industry standards, adapted to the particular needs of American clients, which has been very convenient for me to adapt to this new market. For this company, I’ve been doing makeup on demand services attending appointments in their client’s homes which is a new business model similar to Uber for beauty services.

This last month I have just moved to Miramar, place where I will dedicate myself more fully to the teaching of makeup, which is what I am most passionate about, as well as bridal makeup.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
My biggest challenge has been without a doubt, having to start from scratch in a new country. In a business where your reputation is everything, getting to know you in a new market, with a new language and a new culture is not easy, but I consider that I have passed my first year of adaptation and right now my business is moving as it used to do when I had to leave my country in its best moment.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with ReveronGlam – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
My business has 2 main branches:
1. Makeup services for special events such as: weddings, proms, photo shoots, advertising campaigns, etc. In this branch my main specialty is bridal makeup, which I incredibly enjoy doing and I am already well recognized in this market.

2. Makeup classes: my biggest passion is to teach the makeup artistry, both for self-makeup just for your personal use, as professional makeup if you want to become a makeup artist or update your techniques. These classes can be in groups or customized in one on one, and also online if you are in other cities and countries.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My future dream is to have my own makeup academy, a place with several teachers trained by me to share my knowledge and techniques, for now I do it on a small scale just myself from home.
