Meet Celine Alva in South Miami

Today we’d like to introduce you to Celine Alva.

Celine, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I used to get bullied at school which made me a very sheltered person. My third grade teacher recommended me to audition to the theatre magnet so I can get out of my shell and express myself more. I didn’t believe I would get in so I didn’t even tell my mom I auditioned. My mom got a call later that week and was in complete shock! I started off in musical theatre shows such as little red riding hood, the little mermaid, evita, seussical the musical and many more. I was featured in south Florida parenting as the cover for the summer cover to stand against bullying. I became the ambassador of the bullying. Theatre was my way to be heard and have a voice while entertaining people at the same time. I started film when I was 10 and I’ve been obsessed with it ever since. Film and theatre are two different word but both tie in. You can’t do one without the other!

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Starting off is hard for all careers! Lots of rejection happens which can put you down from your goal. One thing my mom taught me is when 999 doors close there will always be one that opens. Live with faith and keep your determination and your doors will open!

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Celine Alva – what should we know?
I am an actress as well as a model for magchop and and I own my own nonprofit organization that donates clothes to kids who are fostered, orphans. And in the process of being adopted. I started the organization when my mom would tell me stories about how hard it was for her when she was little living in the adoption home. I went to volunteer at one to see it for myself and I struck a soft spot for them. I am very proud to say that my organization has donated to 200 families in the past year! And for acting I am very proud to announce I will be filming in Spain a web series I’m in called “The Mobking” where I play as Carina White, a real life mobster’s daughter.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
