Today we’d like to introduce you to Jenna Z.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I have always been an adventurous soul. I remember being a curious girl. I would have fun thinking of big ideas with my girl friends, going on missions and could never sit still! I thrived in artistic environments, I loved poetry, painting, playing sports, exploring music and trying on diff personalities. I would watch my moms exercise videos and take it as seriously as I could. I dabbled in so many things and one time even refused to dress like a girl for like 4 months. It took me what felt like forever to find a career. If you asked the child version of me, “what do you want to be when you grow up?” I would say things like happy, author, vet, marine biologist, a news babe and singer. I wanted it all. After college I tried so many gigs, but always felt bored. What started as a hobby soon manifested into a career. Looking back, I was always reading, sharing, helping people and talking fitness & nutrition. After horrible job experiences and being in environments that suffocated my growth I started a business. It was like that was always the plan and I forgot it along the way somehow. Anyhow, it all happened on what felt like an accident. I love being creative and doing the behind the scenes stuff, but I also love showing up on camera, having fun and helping people get what they want. This has led me to running a business in the online space and am so excited to see what the future holds. Juicy Fit is a motivational community I began so women could get the latest 411 on superfoods, products and exercises to help them get the BEST results without the burnout. I recently also opened it up so that boss babe female entrepreneurs could share their services, drop business info and share all their juicy success tips.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all. There are so many moments of doubt and a lot of distractions. Sometimes, we try and force things to happen or expect things to show up faster and lose ourselves. The main goal any young women should strive for is always remaining true to herself and learning to use fear to break her own limits. To pave your own path instead of killing yourself in the game of playing it safe. Focus on growth and activities that challenge you to become more confident. Don’t live by other peoples beliefs and rules.
what should we know about Juicy Fit? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am a Holistic Fitness Coach. I teach women how to sculpt their bodies while balancing a busy life. I specialize in performance, weight loss, and nutrition. I am most proud of listening to my intuition and never giving up. Something just wouldn’t let me. I think I also have a gift at understanding and feeling people at a deeper level. It allows me to provide them with better solutions and achieve their goals faster.
Do you have any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general? What has worked well for you?
Totally! This is a big one. You will have many first off, but your mentor should be your cheerleader and be able to call you on your bullshit. You should feel comfortable and by being around this person you notice your vibration rises.
