Meet MANTRAP

Today we’d like to introduce you to MANTRAP.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
MANTRAP started in the 70’s by a group of young Boy Scouts in. Ranging in ages from 12-14 made it difficult to play in certain places, however that never stopped them from making a name for themselves. At such a young age they played at Quince parties, Weddings, as well as the Open House Parties. In 2009 the band reunited with some original members. Since then the group has evolved bringing the familiar sounds of Miami 70’s music with a unique twist of today’s Top Hit Cover Songs to keep all of our South Florida fans on the dance floor having non-stop fun.

Please tell us about your art.
MANTRAP performs music of a variety of genres to ensure that our diverse audience connects with our music and dances the night away. It gives us great pleasure to play awesome music and watch our fans come out and enjoy themselves to the fullest, dancing all night. We enjoy the positive feedback that is always provided and as a result we work hard on incorporating music that people would really enjoy to listen and dance to. The biggest compliment that we can get is seeing the crowd just truly having a great time, seeing the smiles and the laughter while dancing and those individuals sharing that fun moment with their friends or family members. We always give a high energy packed performance, we work on dance moves and making things fresh and fun on stage. The one thing that people know is that MANTRAP is a band that loves to keep you dancing and having fun through the night, it’s always a fun night when you party with us.

Given everything that is going on in the world today, do you think the role of artists has changed? How do local, national or international events and issues affect your art?
A creative or artistic path does come with many financial challenges, however so does many things in life. My advice is if you believe in your dream and your willing to do anything to see it become a reality, then no financial situation should ever stop you. The struggles and the let-down, being told no, are only things that should fuel you and make you even more passionate and focused to make sure that you make your dream come true. You are the only one in control of your reality and future and if you believe in your dream and you work hard no matter the obstacles that are thrown your way then one day that dream will come true and all your hard work will be worth it.

How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
People can always go onto our website at www.MantrapBand.com to get to know us, see our upcoming events, and view our gallery and videos. The group also has a Facebook and an Instagram account as Mantrap Band, there our fans can support our work, show us some love and follow us and keep updated on the new events to come.
