Today we’d like to introduce you to Arbeilla Wilson.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Depression was my reality, so I made sex, drugs, and alcohol as my escape route. I grow up not knowing my real father which played a huge role in my life. But the man who played the father figure in my life turned out to be the very reason, perversion was opened up to me. From the young ages of 11-13, my father molested me. Who also exposed me to weed. When I was 15, I had my first “puff puff past” with him. As I grew up, I became numb to the world. I hid my pains, hurt, past, lies, scars, voice, love, and myself. But somehow, God never turned his back on me. At the age of 21, I came to know God for myself and got saved. I began to change my life. I faced my truth and started the process of receiving my healing. I am now 26 and I have written a book called “Singleness In Style”. I am the founder of Equally formally known as S.I.S (singleness in style) where we strive to help all generations disregard the expectations of a man and use the word of God to equally strengthen their temples in the areas of mind, body, soul, spirit, emotions, finance, purpose and relationships. Our goal is to make sure that you equal up to God’s standards. That’s what I strive to do daily. Not look at man but look at my inner self and outer and use the word of God to better me.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The testimony is in the run, not the finishline. My run is yet but over. I have endured sleepless nights, frustrating moments, crying and yelling. Even entertained the thought of quitting. But the race is given to those who endure.
Please tell us about Equally.
Equally, help those who want to help themselves. We use the word of God as a guide to better one self. We provide classes, conferences, and other outlets to help individuals better themselves.
We focus on:
– Body
– Mind
– Spirit
– Emotions
– Finance
– Purpose
– Relationships
Not to compare Equally to any other organization, but what I love about Equally is we are not just another social media page. We actually get out in the community and offer free and or low-cost assistance to help all people.
I am most proud of how different people of all over contact us and truly just want to receive Christ. Sometimes, we as Christian can be the only Christ someone sees. We are Christ on earth and our job is to be Christ-like and Equally embodies that.
Some of our long-term goals are to have grant programs for first time home buyers, free health care insurance for college students, and free Godly mental health counseling.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I wouldn’t do anything differently. Every part of my testimony will and has brought forth change in myself and in others.
