Thanks for sharing your story with us Angela. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started at Pipeline before the first location (Brickell) was completed. The founders’ enthusiasm was so contagious and I knew that it would be successful, so it was a no-brainer to take on the challenge. That was in 2012. Since then it has just been the most amazing ride enriched with a wonderful team, interesting members, and an immense amount of gained knowledge. As time went on, I grew with the company and was able to learn and grow into higher positions taking on more responsibility getting me to where I am now, Director of Regional Operations. Now, with 5 locations under our belt, and many more to come, the possibilities are endless and the prospect is extremely exciting.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like all start ups and new businesses, there are never completely smooth rides. There were several obstacles to overcome and challenges that we faced, but when you have a strong team it becomes a learning experience to be used for the future. In this industry, you come in contact with several companies and individuals that have different needs and of course different personalities. We had to learn to cater to all of them and make a true impact in their growth and success.
Please tell us about Pipeline Workspaces.
Pipeline is a high-design shared workspace used by a diverse community of entrepreneurs, startups, independent professionals and small business teams. Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Family dinners. The fact that we all sat around the table at night, had dinner together and shared our stories to me was priceless. The mix of languages, my father speaking to us in English, my mother is Spanish, my brother and I in any language that came to mind at the moment. It was true Miami inside our house. My father telling the same jokes, my stories about my “hard” day in class (elementary school), and the constant sibling bickering gave me comfort and peace that we were a unit in that one moment in time. I know that in this day in age that is not the most common tradition anymore, but I hope to carry that on.
