Today we’d like to introduce you to Bren and Pip Parkins.
Bren and Pip, please share your story with us.
We have had an interest in fashion since we were children, originating with costume design in films. We would save Vogue runway fashion photos in the hundreds to our computers, trying to recreate the looks. It was years later in April 2017, before we turned 26, that we cut off our long hair, got sassy short haircuts, and decided we wanted to be fashion bloggers. Just like that. We had never used Instagram or social media, but we saw photos of Instagram influencers on Pinterest and our creativity and ideas just started flowing. One day, we just took a few photos on Worth Avenue in the outfits we styled, we made an Instagram, and created a website. It took us a while to figure out exactly what our style was, how to perfectly edit the photos, and what we wanted to portray, but it’s all come together over the last year. We also both have a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Creative Writing, so combining our love for writing and fashion just felt right.
Has it been a smooth road?
We have a strong love for the Victorian Era and London. We are also historical fiction writers, so that is what we connect with and what inspires us. Being Native Floridians and living in Palm Beach, it is always a challenge to find locations to do photo shoots with a bit of history or quirkiness to them. We like our photos to have a European or New York essence, so it is constantly a struggle for portraying that. But, we make it work!
It has also been a struggle finding the perfect editing style that resonates with our audience. We have learned what people respond best to. But, we always want to be true to ourselves. It is just the matter of evolving as we grow and learn more about blogging and our style.

We are identical twin fashion bloggers/influencers in Palm Beach. We started our Instagram @brenandpip and our blog (brenandpipparkins.com) over a year ago. We shop on a budget, so we try to find the most unique pieces from stores like H&M and Forever21 and style them in a unique way. We also add a unique touch with vintage pieces. Our style is a bit retro, trendy, and quirky, but still sophisticated.
Our growth not only professionally, but personally is what we have come to be most proud of. It is exciting to think of how we went from just wanting to blog as a hobby to now collaborating with brands and brainstorming about our future as bloggers.
What sets us apart, first and foremost, is that we are identical twins with natural auburn hair! We also avoid what one would typically think of when it comes to Florida, so palm trees and beaches are a rare sight on our blog.
