So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Born in Argentina moved to Europe after school to study languages and hotel management. Attended Hotel Management School Les Roches and later trained in hotels in Switzerland, UK and Argentina.
I also have an advertising degree from Argentina. 15 years ago, I co-founded Alquimia Hospitality Group with Juan Pablo D’Onofrio who is my husband. We have 3 kids. And together we now manage Leslie Hotel, The Shepley Hotel and Nassau Suite Hotel. All boutique hotels in South Beach Miami. We also have 2 very exciting upcoming projects in South Beach. Our company covers every aspect of the boutique hotel experience: business plan, real estate, site selection, project management, hotel opening, and hotel operation. We also do consultancy for selected clients here in US and abroad.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. We have the struggles every business owner faces but we love this city and what we do. Plus, we are very committed to our community and our staff and their families.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about The Shepley Hotel – what should we know?
The Shepley Hotel is a new boutique hotel in South Beach Miami. This renovated art deco hotel features only 29 rooms. This intimate atmosphere translates to personalized service and being able to really get to know our guests. We are known for our hospitality and also for our design. The hotel has a very distinct vintage feel. We worked with Argentinian designer Pablo Chiappori to achieve this.
The hotel is only one block away from the beach and walking distance to the main attractions in South Beach. All our rates include Continental breakfast, internet, beach chairs and towels. By checking our website and following us on Social Media you can always find out about our latest news.
One of our strengths as well is our Concierge Service. We have a very dedicated Concierge who can organize great adventures for first time visitors and regular guests as well. There is always something new to see in Miami.
