Meet Joshua Burstein of Sawgrass Cleaning Solutions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joshua Burstein.

Joshua, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started my business based off of my passion for cleaning. My lifelong friend Joshua ‘Chewy’ Galt and I wanted to begin a business but didn’t know exactly what type of business to start. We both thought well, we enjoy cleaning and have a fascination for the advances in cleaning equipment, so it was only right we dove right into the cleaning industry.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
One of the biggest obstacles that we had to overcome in starting out was the constant hours of work. Waking up right when the sun rises to network and become involved in the community and then going out to do the physical labor part of the business all through the night. There were long month stretches of very few hours of rest.

Sawgrass Cleaning Solutions – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
My company started out providing commercial janitorial services but has evolved in the past few years to specialize in commercial and residential carpet and floor care while still sticking to our original roots in commercial office cleaning as well.

Sawgrass Cleaning is most known for our goal to provide South Florida with an economical and quality service while never losing focus of our values to be an eco-friendly company, which is also why we decided to go with the name Sawgrass Cleaning.

This is important to us because we are very close to the Everglades and want to do our part in protecting the environment.

What sets us apart from our competition is being an honest company and simply put, doing what we say we will to satisfy our clients and make sure they receive the value they deserve.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I define success as not only helping elevate myself but also my employees and clients.

Success to me is being able to employ others and provide a livelihood for them, as well as satisfying my client’s needs. The amount of satisfaction I have when we are able to restore a customer’s carpets or flooring that they didn’t think was possible to do is success to me. When you are able to provide a service or a product that is valued by others is how I measure success.
