Meet Lindsey Brown of Lindsey Brown Miami Real Estate

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsey Brown.

Lindsey, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My story began with a role model close to home, my grandmother Kay Byrne. A true Miami real estate pioneer, my grandmother established her own brokerage – Byrne Rinehart & Co. Later, my mother, uncle and aunt joined – thus, beginning the family business. I was fortunate to follow in my family’s footsteps, starting my career circa 2006 as a part-time assistant in commercial and residential sales, while attending graduate school. Gradually, I branched out and began my own real estate brand – Lindsey Brown Real Estate & Associates.

I am a proud alumna of two great Florida universities. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Minor in Spanish at Florida State University in 2005. I then went on to receive two Master’s degrees at Florida International University –  International Real Estate and Business Administration.

Has it been a smooth road?
When building your own brand, the road is seldom smooth, there are always challenges along the way. I have faced many ups and downs, including one of the greatest Real Estate downturns in recent history. Working through the Recession was perhaps the most important part of my education.

Assisting Sellers on the verge of losing their properties was particularly humbling. As so many Sellers faced foreclosures or short sales, I found that the most important part of my job was to ensure that I understood all of the intricacies involved with those types of transactions. Navigating through those complicated deals taught me how to put the pieces of an ever-shifting Real Estate puzzle together and certainly helped to catapult my career.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Lindsey Brown Miami Real Estate – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I am a Residential Real Estate agent and investor working for EWM Realty International. Growing up in Miami has provided me with insight that helps me promote our various neighborhoods and our community as a whole. The areas I focus on run from Palmetto Bay & Pinecrest, to Coral Gables & Coconut Grove and north through Midtown & Miami Beach. I live in South Miami and my office is in Coral Gables.

I feel that my diligence and integrity definitely set me apart. I work for the best interest of my clients 100% of the time and I do not take shortcuts. I am known as a Realtor that can often find ways to salvage a deal that is falling apart because I don’t give up.

The majority of my business comes from referrals and repeat clients. To me, a referral is a testament to a job well done. I make it a point to always go out of my way to ensure that the deals I put together are good for both Buyers and Sellers. My grandmother used to preach that if one part of a transaction leaves the closing table unhappy then it was not a good deal. I work very hard to heed her advice.

I have met so many wonderful people through Real Estate and feel fortunate to call many of them my friends. I am currently the youngest agent to achieve Diamond Club status with EWM, which places me in the top ½ of 1% of Realtors nationwide. I am proud that my hard work has paid off.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
What is not to like about Miami? Well, maybe the traffic! I love this city.

The year-round sunny skies, melting pot of cultural diversity and mesmerizing Latin cuisine (really, it’s the Cuban coffee) are undoubtedly incomparable to any other city.

Access to world-class beaches, sailing thru Biscayne Bay, diving in the Florida Keys, and the short boat ride to the Bahamas all make Miami uniquely appealing. The art scene has taken off, (thank you Art Basel), and Wynwood is a Mecca for budding artists. The Perez Art Museum, Frost Museum of Science, and the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts have raised the standard from a Cultural Perspective.

Miami has grown into a remarkable, international city. There are so many interesting and exciting activities in which to partake. Once you find your niche here, you will never want to leave. Assuming the sea levels don’t rise, I plan to be here for the long haul!
