Community Highlights: Meet Hayley Schapiro, LCSW of Curated Therapy Collective

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hayley Schapiro, LCSW.

Hi Hayley, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Curated Therapy Collective (CTC) was founded by Hayley C. Schapiro, LCSW, out of a deep understanding of how difficult it can be to access meaningful mental health care, even for those who know systems and communities well.

Hayley’s career began across multiple settings within the mental health landscape, including community based mental health, hospital work, independent schools, and nonprofit leadership. Throughout these roles, she worked closely with children, families, and adults, navigating complex systems often defined by long waitlists, limited options, and significant barriers to entry. These early experiences shaped her belief that mental health care is most effective when there is not only access, but also the right clinical fit between client and professional.

After relocating to West Palm Beach, Hayley continued her work in an independent school setting before building a private practice, Social Sense Palm Beach, serving children, couples, and adults in Florida and New York. Quickly, she became a trusted resource for parents, physicians, educators, and fellow clinicians seeking guidance on finding high quality mental health support for themselves, their clients, or their personal networks and extended communities. Again and again, she observed how overwhelming and fragmented the process could be, even for well resourced and informed individuals and professionals.

Recognizing that the challenge was not a lack of skilled clinicians but the absence of a thoughtful, intentional, person centered, matching process, Hayley founded Curated Therapy Collective during the Summer of 2025. CTC was designed to bridge the gap between people seeking care and a highly curated network of mental health providers through a clinician led, concierge style matching model. Every referral is selected by mental health professional with clinical judgment and intention, rather than generated by an algorithm or an impersonal ridged directory.

Today, Curated Therapy Collective connects individuals, families, and referral partners with trusted mental health professionals nationwide, while also cultivating a collaborative, values aligned community for clinicians. At its core, CTC reflects Hayley’s longstanding commitment to thoughtful connection, clinical integrity, and making mental health care feel more thoughtful, personalized, and human.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. Building something meaningful rarely is.

One of the biggest challenges has been navigating a fragmented mental health system while trying to create a model that is both clinically sound and sustainable. Even with years of experience, translating a clinician-led, relationship-based vision into something scalable required constant learning and refinement.

I’ve also had to balance growing Curated Therapy Collective while maintaining a private practice, raising a family, and staying engaged in my community. Learning when to slow down, delegate, and trust the process has been just as important as any strategic decision.

While the road hasn’t been easy or linear, each challenge has reinforced the mission. Hearing from people who finally feel supported, and clinicians who feel aligned and valued, continues to affirm why this work matters.

We’ve been impressed with Curated Therapy Collective, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Curated Therapy Collective is a clinician-led, concierge mental health matching platform designed to make finding the right care feel more thoughtful, human, and manageable. We support individuals, families, couples and referral partners by connecting them with highly curated mental health professionals whose expertise, approach, and availability truly align with their needs. We also are prideful in our robust professional collective where providers learn together, collaborate, and create synergies nationally.

What we specialize in, and what we are known for, is clinical discernment. Every match is selected by a licensed staff clinician, not generated by an algorithm or pulled at random from a massive directory. We consider presenting concerns, goals, nuance, scheduling needs, insurance or self-pay preferences, and, just as importantly, relational fit. That level of intention is what allows our referrals to feel different and more effective.

What truly sets Curated Therapy Collective apart is our dual focus. We are equally committed to the people seeking care and to the clinicians providing it. For clients and referral partners, we offer clarity, guidance, and trust in a system that often feels overwhelming often during a window where emotions are high. For clinicians, we provide a values aligned professional community that prioritizes: collaboration, and sustainability in private practice.

From a brand perspective, I am most proud that CTC has grown through relationships and trust rather than volume or automation. Our growth has been organic and referral-driven, which speaks to the integrity of the work and the experience people have with us. We are focused on being thoughtful, credible, and clinically grounded.

What I want readers to know most is that Curated Therapy Collective was built with care at every level. Whether someone is seeking support for themselves or a loved one, or a clinician is looking for a more aligned way to feel connected in their work, CTC exists to make mental health care feel more thoughtful, personalized, and human.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
One of my favorite childhood memories is spending unstructured time with my family, especially moments that felt connected. Days that often revolved around being outside, delicious meals, long conversations, laughter, music, and a sense of comfort really stand out. Those experiences gave me a deep appreciation for relationships, community, and the feeling of being truly seen, understood, and supported.

Looking back, those early memories of connection and togetherness shaped how I value relationships today, both personally and professionally, and they continue to influence the work I do and the kind of environment I strive to create through Curated Therapy Collective.
