Thanks for sharing your story with us Joseph. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I moved to Florida from NY about 15 yrs ago and began driving for a close friend who started a limousine company in Broward County. After several years of working with my friend, and other local operators, I began to see that I could use these relationships to start my own company.
Around 2011 I started Empire with one car covering an area from Jupiter to Miami. When my stepdad moved here in 2013 he became partners with me and we have been growing the company since. We now have a limousine, a sedan, an SUV, and we just added a 22 passenger party bus. We are also in the process to purchase a Mercedes Sprinter and are in discussions to buy four more limousines.
My stepdad runs the business end of the company and I establish the relationships with both other limo operators and of course our customers. Many of our customers are corporate accounts and repeat customers. We take pride in keeping a professional and friendly relationship with everyone we work with. It really is a good fit for us and we make a good team.
We are finally getting excited to take the company to the next level and become a premier limousine company in South Florida.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not been smooth at all. As I mentioned I only had one car in the beginning. The limousine business is extremely competitive here in South Florida and there were times when I barely made it through the year. The introduction of Uber to this area severely impacted limousine companies as well. But my parents helped and I stuck to it and now here we are. We still have a lot of work to do but I can now say that we are starting to turn the corner and I am excited about the future of this company

Well as stated we are a limousine company in South Florida operating in Broward, Palm Beach and Dade counties. What we specialize in are close relationships with both our partners and customers. This is a primary reason why we have a high percentage of repeat business. Many limo operators focus on tourists and really don’t care if they see those people again. This is not our way. We take pride that our customers ask for us by name and almost always recommend us to others.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
The increase in inventory is what will allow us to offer our customers more choice and also allow us to grow the business. We purchased a limousine just earlier this year and a 22 passenger limo bus just a week ago. We will be closing on the sale of a Mercedes Sprinter in the next week. We are also in discussions to buy another business which will allow us to add four more limousines. We are looking forward to be able to offer all these options to our customers and at the same time growing the company
