Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan “Jordy” Daniels.
Hi Jordan “Jordy”, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I grew up knowing I wanted to be a creative individual, and my parents always instilled in me if I believed in God and myself— the sky is the limit. I started freestyling at a young age, made songs with my siblings, and eventually published my first record “Friends” that went viral on Youtube with over 125k views. I don’t identify myself as a “rapper” but as a creative woman. I started my own clothing brand, I assist others with marketing campaigns, create content, etc.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I believe one of my biggest struggles is consistency because I truly love doing everything in the creative field, I never stick to one thing at a time. I don’t look at it as a bad thing, but I do want to find a way to balance out the music, with the fashion, with the modeling, etc.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a creative woman who enjoys making music! I create chill-rap and upbeat-rap music to make women feel confident, empowered and seen! Most of the mainstream music promotes drugs and being promiscuous, but I like to make women know it’s okay to be a beauty queen and to enjoy monogamous relationships with standards. I’m most proud of creating my own lane with music. I also enjoy having range, if you were to hear one song it wouldn’t sound like the next song. I never want to be boxed in! My biggest flex is that I’m myself in my music and in real life, no faking it.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love the South FL culture and how everyone is so supportive! We’re one big family. The dances, grills, slang, foods, hairstyles, outfits, etc it’s all South FL coded! My only dislike is the traffic.
