Check Out Dr. Melody De Heusch’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Melody De Heusch.

Hi Dr. Melody, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my journey as a chiropractor driven by a deep curiosity about the human body and a desire to help people feel strong, mobile, and pain-free in their everyday lives. As an athlete, I experienced the highs and lows of pushing my body, recovering from injuries, and navigating a system that often felt rushed or disconnected. That shaped my perspective and fueled my commitment to becoming the kind of provider who truly listens and cares.

That passion led me to create Gravitate WellSpace, a clinic built on the belief that movement is medicine and that sustainable wellness requires intention, education, and individualized care. My approach blends evidence-based techniques with hands-on, thoughtful support designed to restore strength and function long-term.

Today, I serve a community of active individuals, wellness-minded professionals, and people ready to take their health into their own hands. My mission is simple: help you move better, feel better, and stay well.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road every beginning comes with its challenges. My intention has always been to provide the highest quality care, but one of the biggest struggles I’ve faced is shifting the mindset many people have around healing. We’re often conditioned to believe that the only path to feeling better is through medication or surgery, and that healing is something done to us, not something we’re actively a part of.

One of the most meaningful parts of my work has been helping people reconnect to their bodies and realize that true healing comes from within with the right guidance, education, and intention. It takes time to shift those beliefs, but when it happens, it’s incredibly powerful.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
At Gravitate WellSpace, I specialize in chiropractic care that’s rooted in functional movement, injury prevention, and long-term wellness. My sessions go beyond quick adjustments I take the time to assess how your body is moving, what patterns may be contributing to pain or dysfunction, and how we can restore balance through hands-on therapy, rehab-based care, and personalized guidance.

I’m most known for making people feel seen. Whether you’re an athlete, a busy professional, or someone simply trying to feel better in your body, my approach is always intentional and adaptive. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all care and my patients feel that difference.

What sets me apart is the way I combine clinical knowledge with presence. I take time to explain, to educate, and to empower people with tools they can actually use outside the office. I’m proud to say that my work doesn’t just help people get out of pain it helps them reconnect with their strength, confidence, and capacity to move well and live fully.

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
One of my favorite books is Outlive by Dr. Peter Attia it really shaped the way I think about longevity, not just in terms of lifespan but healthspan. His approach to proactive, preventive care resonates deeply with the work I do.

When it comes to podcasts, I enjoy listening to different perspectives that blend health, business, and personal growth. One I keep going back to is The Diary of a CEO by Steven Bartlett. He brings on guests from all walks of life, and the conversations always remind me how interconnected our habits, mindset, and purpose are whether in work or life.

I’m always seeking out resources that challenge my thinking and expand how I show up for others, both as a practitioner and a human.
