Today we’d like to introduce you to Marko Tomić.
Marko, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
I am born in Belgrade Serbia in 1984. With 23 years I moved to the USA, in Maimi Florida. I was gonna become currency exchange broker, stockbroker, I studied Economics. Anyhow in January 2009, I had miracle awakening experience with life-changing influence. I remember I was alone driving my car.
And I heard a voice, inner voice, but not like everyday voice, this was and is Voice of God, Source, Voice from Creative Universe, Unnamed Mother od All Creations. I was chosen, I was told what to do, what’s my mission my roll I was told to be and become a painter.
And be The painter of my time. First I was shocked and I remember I had doubts and I doubted in the message, but then like 1000 thunders, I was asked: “ Do You doubt In Me My Son My Child? Omg, I started crying … Later I respond no I will never doubt in You In Me in my life given mission and opportunity.
At this moment I am inside my car parked somewhere around Miami Beach, I remember I turned my car around and went to art store for the first time in my life. I came back home I was painting 3 days 3 nights without knowing how to paint without any pain or tiredness I created with divine energy with ease about 25/30 paintings for the first time. I still feel how I felt. That was my start my starting story. There is much more to it.
We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
I paint the unseen. They manifest to me. I see them all secret codes and beings and I fallow them and connect all of that of canvas. They speak to me, honest language of feelings in silence. That’s how I created new direction new style called Konnectivism.
Like Picasso created Cubism, I created Konnectivism. I made over 1000 paintings this way. And this is just a start for me I am 33 years old now. My artwork have and carry alive energy and Love from Source.
Have things improved for artists? What should cities do to empower artists?
Conditions are good, we can share on the easy way our art with the world, with internet and global communications it is easy to reach and contact anyone really. But at the same time, I see that people are calling art now something that is blank flat not unique or original.
I think that artist can help the city and city should have programs and awards and completions for us, so we can join forces. And not be separated. But also artist needs a team, I think is a must. Good team to reach and expand and execute ideas and desires.
Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
I had art exhibitions in USA and Europe, solo and group exhibitions. Now I live and work in Maimi. You can see my work online with ArtupClose, Raw Gallery, on google Marko Tomić painter or Marko Tomić Art.
