Exploring Life & Business with Nofar Hagag of Nofar Method

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nofar Hagag.

Hi Nofar, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Nofar Hagag is the visionary founder behind Nofar Method, an internationally recognized Pilates studio with locations in New York City and Miami.
Her Pilates instruction journey, which began during her service in the Israeli Army, has been driven by a deep commitment to fitness and wellness, creating a dynamic brand that has elevated the fitness experience and inspires clients around the world with its transformative practice.
With an approach that reflects her athletic background, Nofar has redefined Pilates, building a loyal global following and setting a new standard in the industry.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not—it’s been a path full of unexpected turns. I originally set out to become a doctor. I was in a demanding pre- med program while teaching Pilates on the side to cover tuition and the high cost of living in New York City. It was a tough balance, but teaching gave me a sense of purpose. It grounded me during a time when I was constantly under pressure. I didn’t realize it then, but the impact I was making on my clients was growing deeper with every class.

Then came a turning point. I applied to a competitive medical program in NYC and didn’t get accepted. It was devastating. I had worked so hard, supported myself entirely, and suddenly I was facing a year of uncertainty. I didn’t know what direction my life was going to take, and it felt like everything I’d been building was on hold.

This was in 2019. I had already been teaching Pilates for ten years in NYC, working with incredible clients, and witnessing the real transformations happening through workout I created. I was approaching 30 and had spent a decade at the same company. I began to ask myself, What’s next?

With a year before I could reapply again to residency program, I decided to take a chance on myself and explore creating something of my own.

It wasn’t easy. I had no investors, no funding, I was still a student, and an international one at that. Many people saw potential and offered to invest, but I realized that meant they would essentially own me forever. That wasn’t what I wanted.

I cared deeply about every detail, the quality of the experience, how people were treated, and the values behind the method I wanted to build. So I chose the harder path: to build it myself, from the ground up. It was a daunting decision but ultimately, the most empowering one I’ve ever made. I used to see rejection as failure, but now I know, it was God guiding me exactly where I was meant to be. Rejection is Redirection!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
What sets the Nofar Method apart is our 50-minute class structure. We combine both the Reformer and the Cadillac—two powerful Pilates machines that, when used together, elevate the impact of every single session. Most studios reserve the Cadillac for private sessions, but we wanted our clients to have access to its benefits in a group format—because why shouldn’t everyone have that level of care?

Every single instructor is trained directly by me. That connection matters. They know each client by name. The level of personalization our clients receive feels like private attention, even in a group setting. It’s that combination of technical excellence and deep community connection that makes the Nofar Method so different—and so meaningful.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
First, trust the process. The Nofar Method is designed to challenge you, but it’s also here to support your growth physically, mentally, and emotionally. It’s completely normal to feel outside of your comfort zone at first. In fact, that’s exactly where real transformation begins.

Like anything new, especially a workout the most important thing is to stay open-minded, open-hearted, and connected to your body. Staying consistent is the key for success.

And most importantly, don’t compare your journey to anyone else’s. The beauty of the Nofar Method is that it meets you exactly where you are and with time, it will help you push your body to its limits and take your Pilates practice to the next level.
