Today we’d like to introduce you to Melissa Morales
Hi Melissa, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am Cuban and I arrived in the United States at the age of 13, with a little box full of dreams and goals to achieve. At first, the language was a challenge, but with effort and determination, I gradually integrated and made friends. My first job was at 15, working as a cashier in a fast-food restaurant, which taught me a lot about the value of hard work and responsibility. After that, I worked in various other places, gathering experiences that helped me grow.
At 18, I began as a secretary at a rehabilitation center. Thanks to my dedication and the support I received, I was promoted to the admissions department within a year, where I continued developing and learning. Over time and with experience, after 7 years in this field I am currently the marketing representative for one of the most prestigious Rehab Center in Miami, and today, I am studying nursing, feeling deeply proud of everything I’ve accomplished so far.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The hardest part of the journey is that sometimes you want to give up, whether it’s from exhaustion, stress, or the influence of others. I’ve had moments where I doubted myself or felt overwhelmed, but I realized that the most important thing is to keep going, to keep fighting for what you truly want, and to stay focused. For me, staying focused meant reminding myself of my goals and why I started in the first place. Each challenge became an opportunity to grow stronger and more determined. The journey isn’t smooth, but it’s the bumps along the way that have taught me resilience, patience, and gratitude for how far I’ve come. At the end of the day, those struggles are what make the success so much more meaningful.
As you know, we’re big fans of Prefer not to say the name . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I mainly work in the healthcare industry, but for privacy purposes, I prefer to keep the organization’s name confidential. Outside of that, I’m a model and content creator on Instagram, where I collaborate with businesses to promote their brands through creative content and video shoots. I have a passion for lifestyle content and love sharing tips and inspiration with my audience.
Travel is another big part of what I do. I enjoy exploring new countries and documenting my adventures. Whether it’s highlighting must-visit spots, sharing travel tips, or putting together outfit ideas, I aim to inspire others to embrace the joy of discovery and creativity in their everyday lives.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned along my journey is that perseverance is key. No matter how many obstacles or setbacks you face, what truly matters is to keep moving forward. It’s easy to feel discouraged at times, but staying focused on your goals and continuing to push through the tough moments is what ultimately leads to growth and success.
