Today we’d like to introduce you to Brenay Branch
Hi Brenay, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My passion for makeup artistry began in middle school, though I didn’t take it seriously until ninth grade. I loved experimenting with fun hair colors and lipsticks. A pivotal moment came during a field trip to Beauty Schools of America, where I got my makeup done professionally for the first time. The positive feedback I received inspired me to pursue makeup artistry to help boost the esteem of other women and young girls. I started collecting products and practicing on friends and family. I then entered the Miami Northwestern Cosmetology Program to study and ultimately received my full specialist license before my 2018 graduation.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The journey to becoming as skilled as I am today was far from easy. I faced numerous challenges, including finding clientele, seeking support from other artists for mentorship, and dealing with cyberbullying for some of my less successful work. And of course an occasional creativity block.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in make up artistry , and my work primarily focuses on glam for special occasions including but not limited to bridal. I am known for being skilled in several areas such as, mature skin, hyperpigmentation, scaring/acne and women from Fairest to Deepest complexions. My ability to enhance the natural beauty of an individual without overpowering their features. I adore the everyday woman and want to make sure she still feels confident in a way that doesn’t feel too far from familiar . I believe this sets me apart as I strive to consistently deliver outstanding results. One of the things I am most proud of is the times I spend doing make up for less fortunate girls of my counnmity during peak seasons such as prom, they deserve to feel beautiful during the special moments that will be remembered throughout their lifetime.

One surprising thing about me is that I’m a night owl and I don’t mind taking appointments in the late hours. I find that I get more done when things are quieter, which allows me to be more productive and creative.”
