Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Jones.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Jessica. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there. LaBare opened August 12, 1978 in Dallas, Texas as the first full time male dance club, featuring a Las Vegas style burlesque show catering to women. It quickly and firmly established itself as the #1 destination for Birthdays, Bachelorettes, and Girls Night Out in the country. Since doing so well out in Dallas, the manager at the time, moved to Florida and decided to open up down here. Within a few years, he owned a location in North Miami Beach and Fort Lauderdale Beach area. The North Miami Beach location moved to Doral in 2009 and has been opened there ever since.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way? Our toughest struggle probably would be getting the word out about the locations upon opening, but for the most part it has been a smooth road. We have been blessed with great entertainers and customers over the many years we have been opened.
LaBare Florida – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition? We are a male revue show opened Wed – Sun showcasing South Florida’s hottest male strippers. It is a show that runs continuously through the night and is filled with energy and fun. We cater to Bachelorette parties, Birthday parties, Divorce parties, and Girls night outings.
We are most proud of the quality of guys we have working for us. Not only are they “strippers” but many aspire to do so much more with their lives. Many are in school, some own their own businesses, some are into real estate, personal training, etc. They are truly a great group of guys!
The difference from our show is we have an actual venue where girls can come out and stay all night long if they want. A lot of the other shows you hear about are generally early in the night and just an hour or so but we keep the party going from 8:00pm when our doors open all the way till 2:00am-3:00am (depending on the night).
What is “success” or “successful” for you? To me success is being the best and I feel as though we have made it. Our name is well known around South Florida as well as around the world. In 2014, Joe Manganiello (who was featured in the Magic Mike films) actually produced a LaBare documentary on our Dallas location. The movie was played in any theaters Nationwide and was seen on Netflix. To me, that is an accomplishment and now the world can see what an amazing place LaBare truly is.
